AT&T also has a monitoring center in ST. Louis that monitors all
backbone traffic large and small private and public.
The monitoring facilities are nothing new though many of the upgrades done
on the switching systems used in the PSTN have been in place since the CALEA laws went in to effect..
These upgrades were performed alongside of upgrades for enhanced performance a much larger subscriber capacity and an all around better switching
system platform.. and it did make a much better switching platform
anyway regardless of the name of any program and rest assured there is more than one.. they are here and you have to either get used to it or try to
change it..
