One of the Super Bases is the 104 Acre EMBASSY that they are building in Iraq.

That is all the evidence you need to substantiate the argument that the US will be in Iraq for a LONG time.

As for the 'sucking their oil bit' thats a myth - they do not produce hardly enough for their own consumption, and in fact the US government is going to spend $57 Billion to help Iraq make its own oil again...

From your own graph we can see that 1991 was the only year Iraq consume everything they produced.

It's still by far the cheapest place in the world to extract oil. (like 3$ a barrel, I believe)

I thought it would be cheaper to be honest. With the security that must be involved and the dangerous logistics of the occupied country, obviously not. I can understand for the same reason why it could be cheap though.

I'd have to agree with this statement. Im sure it would of been a lot cheaper for the US government to just purchase Iraqi oil.

They already have a number of bases weather raised by the American Military or purchased from foreign governments all around the Middle East, reaching even Asia.

True there is oil pipe lines all over the Middle East and even more proposed oil pipelines to come in the future. But I dont think Iraq was for Oil, as much as it is now a standing point.

Im fearful to say we're headed to war yet again, but this time I think its going to be Isreals fight. America just comes in and backs them till Iran is in ruins, or vice versa.

But how much would a bidding war with China cost?

Besides, the 57 billion feeds the war machine and diverts the masses.

I wish I was half as intelligent as the forum that backs me.
Thanks
