The dictator president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, has had its congress "completely change the Constitution of Venezuela and approve" the new " Communist-Sosialist one", which will have to be voted on, by a popular referendum on Dic 2, 2007.---a month away!!!

It is known that since he is in total control of the country´s electoral college, if this "referendum" goes in the given date----it will pass.

Please note of the danger this crazy dictator represents, first to Latin America, later to the whole world. Venezuela is one of the largest producer of Oil in the world and has been getting so much money they don´t know what to do with it--- Chavez and his cronies are millionaries at the moment---. If Venezuela goes "Red" as Cuba has been for the last 50 years---it will be one of the worst disasters of the XXI Century.....Cuba was and is "broke" now and has been for the last 50 years....Venezuela can Buy anything!!!!!!................danger ahead........

Yeah, and Iraq had WMDs, and Iran is planning to attack America, and Ivan is about to roll into Europe with a million tanks.
What a joke.

I don't know, I wouldn't put it past Chavez, with the steady road to tyranny as he's lately been taking. Furthermore, something tells me that OP may be a Venezuelan. Are you, OP?

The only reason any American would pay attention to whats happening in Venezuela is because of over-blown media reports. America itself is rapidly descending into tyranny (& economic troubles, etc.) itself, that should concern you much more. Im not saying Chavez is a saint, I think time will tell eventually because the reforms he has planned this whole time have not even had a chance to be fully implemented yet, as far as I know... If he was really the big evil the US media makes him out to be, he would have massacred opposition to his government by now (or done a lot more).

And too, you have to look at the entire situation. Thousands protest against him, the following day he's marching down main with 100,000.. It'd be nice to have some first hand information about the situation in Venezuela. I definitely wouldn't take an American news source for the "truth."

True. I wouldn't believe too much of what Fox or Cnn spews on the boob tube. They are state run propaganda machines.
