Reasons for impeachment as stated by House Resolution 333

from wiki
"The resolution charges that Vice President Cheney:

has purposely manipulated the intelligence process to deceive the citizens and Congress of the United States by fabricating a threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, as well as
fabricating a threat about an alleged relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda, in order to justify the use of the U.S. Armed Forces against Iraq in a manner damaging to U.S. national security interests; and
in violation of his constitutional oath and duty, has openly threatened aggression against Iran absent any real threat to the United States, and has done so with the proven U.S. capability to carry out such threats, thus undermining U.S. national security. [1][2]
The resolution was authored and submitted by Congressman Dennis Kucinich, a representative of Ohio who is also a presidential candidate in the 2008 election. Congressman Kucinich has made available more than 45 documents supporting the articles of impeachment at his Congressional website, including at least 15 for each article. [3]"

in the dynamics of politics, a unified party is a show of force...

take the action today when the Republicans enmass went and switched
their votes all of a sudden like.

it would seem that the House Republican Whip Roy Blunt (MO)
instructed the house republicans to switch their votes from
killing the VP impeachment vote....which they dutifully did as asked.

for whatever reason the republican administration & party has,
it is know known that the republican house and most likely senate too,
will vote as instructed (at least 98% will vote as instructed),

something the democrats will have to consider when bringing up any more impeachment resolutions...knowing that they will surely be defeated by a unified voting bloc

Based on the aritcles of impreachment that I read, you could just as easily indict John Kerry or Hillary Clinton.

I can't believe that this bonehead is wasting taxpayer money with this nonsense.

He should be impeached.

Yeah because lying about getting a blowjob in the Oval Office is far more serious than lying about the reasons behind invading a sovereign nation.

Way to tow the party line into the abyss...

The changing of the vote midstream is odd. Basically whoever owns the republican congress put a call in and ordered them to switch votes, in nothing else it shows who owns Congress. This may be a signal being sent to NeoCons in White house, maybe they are defying some orders from the elite.
This is patently false. This article confirms that it was Rep. Shadegg's idea.

haha.

he wont be impeached, i am sure of it. whenever issues like this are put out into the open, they are nothing more than a diversion to what is really going on. the Dems are just playing politics.

When congress tried to impeach Clinton on the whole Lewinsky purgery issue, it was nothing more than a diversion from the Clinton's history of scandal (Whitewater, cattle future scandal among many). all the while, the american public was only aware that Clinton got 'some' in the oval office, not that he has a history of shady deals (that are much like that of Cheney).

Politics is nothing more than an act, we are seeing two sides of the same coin.

Clinton lied under oath, an impeachable offense.

There is no evidence that Cheney lied about the evidence against Saddam, which by the way, was accepted as fact by all the countries who allied with the US to invade Iraq after a majority of Congress voted to authorize the invasion.

Impeach Cheney?

Impeach Congress.

Uhm, Cheney still prattles on about Saddam being involved in 9/11. That is patently false. He also interfered with the CIA in relation to the "evidence" of Iraqi WMDs.

He has lied to the American people and the world. He continues to lie to the American people and the world. Under oath or not, he is a lying scumbag.
