I'm a harsh critic of any political body, and Ron Paul is "DEBUNKABLE." He's a nice old man, and a stubborn prick of a politician. That's exactly what we need right now!

RP=solidly debunked, but this is ATS and people will still cling to him no matter what. Doesn't it bother you guys how much you worship him?

A few questions/comments:

1) Did you write that post?

2) If you did, then I'll go bit by bit and remark, if not then post something from your own brain and I'll do the same so you can understand our position.

3) Ron Paul is no religious figure, nor does my support for him (and my staunchness in it) negate my critical thinking and willingness to debate and reason.

So, I welcome any challenge.

Why do you insist that it must be something from me?

Ron Paul would win the debate hands down. ...but for naught - as Billary has already been "elected" by the media.

Man - are we in deep, deep trouble...

Because I am not having a discussion with the author, only one who uses another's words. I don't specifically have an issue with you posting it, but it's not a basis for a discussion unless you'd like to mirror the points.

I'm just saying I think you are wrong, the "blog"ish type thing you posted was silly in many ways (selective truths and history), and was trying to engage in a discussion since you seem to believe the sub par argument you provided via link.

Plus, I only speak for myself, so I generally expect others to as well. It's the sign of a thinker in my mind, especially when they can elaborate and back it up.

So, just thought I'd offer you the chance.

You have my permission to totally flame me.

I'm not gonna flame you- Look you have to make up your own mind. Its ok to do research. I don't watch Fox News anyway. Bill O'Reilly would say anything since he is paid to do that. Do you really think ATS members would cling to just anyone without heavy research. Ron Paul has been researched up one side and down the other... er so to speak. LOL

Hillary's face would melt, or her head would explode like those two nazi's in indiana jones. Not only does he have leverage over her on the war, he has years of experience with regards to the healthcare system and he would school her on that. Ron Paul is much more qualified to deal with the healthcare/ fiscal issues this country faces and he can, has, and will explain it in full when given the time. Those are her 2 major issues.

Well.
Back on Topic?

My take is that Ron would seriously damage Hillbill's credibility.
That is precisely why I think "The Debate" would never actually happen.
HillBill would evade a direct challange from RP. Why? Because she knows she would be shown to be a fraud.
Her true colors would come out during an honest debate, and I think she fears that most of all.
Some of her quotes that have been posted here before:
"I want to take their profits" ( communist speak for complete Gov control).
"We just can't trust the American people to make those types of choices, Government has to make those choices for them." ( communist speak for complete Gov control).
"We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." ( communist speak for complete Gov control).
"I have to confess that it's crossed my mind that you could not be a Republican and a Christian."

"The only way to make a difference is to acquire power" ( communist speak for complete Gov control).
"It takes a village" ( communist speak for complete Gov control).

There are more, but that should suffice. I think she knows that if these communistic, Totalitarianism ideals became widely known, she would lose in spectacular fashion.
But Hillbilly aside, Ron shows class that she is simply not capable of. He would restore confidence and prestige in the position of President of the U.S.
Hillbill would simply use it as a means to her own end. It would be just like having slick willy back but far worse, imo.

I would like to see a debate between Clinton and Paul. It would be interesting and funny. Which one would win would depend on the forum in which it was held. If it was on ATS and/or the internet, Ron Paul would have a good chance of winning, but probably not by a landslide. If it was on PBS, my bet would be Hillary. Personally, I'm not crazy about either one.

Yay for bandwagon appeals! "Urg, this blog doesn't have many comments, so it must be wrong, I don't have to address its substantive arguments." Furthermore, has RP significantly changed his positions since 2006? My money says no.

Alright, I admit Hillary is downright evil, a crook, so on and so forth, but at least she doesn't support extreme reactionary viewpoints that could plunge the country into chaos. I would rather have a crook in office who's gonna skim a couple billion off the top rather than a misguided ideologue who's going to wreck the works.

Once again, you have my permission to flame on.

I am not trying to flame you. However, If i am comprehending your post here right, it sounds like you want a crook, lair, evil person in office than someone who stands by what they say and is honest about what they do.
interesting point of view. If that is the case.

Also what Dr. Paul stands for is the Constitution. How is that misguided, ideologue or extreme?

As far as the debate, Dr. Paul. Would win hands down.

The debate will never happen. Even if Dr. Paul should win the repub. nomination.
The Dnc will never let hillbill be exposed for what she truly is: A Stalinist, Marxist totalitarian.

And a bit unstable to boot.
Nope. The Dnc and george soros will keep pumping big money and MSM exposure her way, all the while keeping her as far from the public as is humanly possible.
It will be a campaign of hype.
But no real substance, cause she's hiding her true agenda.
Until she's in.
Then the meltdown will happen. My guess is hillbill sees the 'Patriot Act' as a means to wrest any last remaining 'rights' from Amerikan subjects.... ahhh , people.

Start getting those offshore accounts setup, and move your money elsewhere 'cause she'll be coming after your savings, IRA, 401K, and any pension you may have counted on. Oh and S.S. too. Tax,Tax, Tax.
Say bye bye to America. Hello to Amerika....

IN this case, a Dr. Paul vs Mrs. Bill Clinton... this has got to be some kind of joke...

Lets see, a hard liner that gives straight forward answers

vs

A flip flopping, side steping, pandering wife of a polotician

hmm... right...

My theroy, the media will just say Hilliary won, and will not even bother to ask the people to give thier opinion.

I've been downing the Hill "team" for the last page in that thread, finally got a "response" -- should that be the debating 'tactics' -- they're done.

From what I've seen of the two candidates:

RP would make an honest effort to answer every question. He would let you know where he stood on an issue. Right or wrong, he'd answer your question.

Hillary would start every response with ..."Because of the failures of the current administration, blah blah blah".

You would not be able to pin her down on any issue - that's the way she works. Just look at the driver's license issue.

ever wonder why Bill drinks so much?

and though i don't live in America, i always watch with facination... this time around i do believe there's a new sherriff in town, though i think he'll meet his maker at high noon... and though i'm sure most find some of his policies scary, his notions of self management may in the long run make america a better place...

i also think that he'd be the kind of grandpa that might have an idea of how to do things but if his grandchildren convinced him otherwise, he may change is point of view... but if his money hungery kids came to the table demanding things for the short term, i don't think he'd budge...

who'd win? as has been pointed out... HC in the media... RP in our hearts
