Let me start this with a warning and apology. If this thread is a bit difficult to follow, please forgive me. I have been up for almost 3 days now and I am VERY tired.

---"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "extraterrestrial" invasion], whether real or *promulgated* [emphasis mine], that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this *scenario*, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government." Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

---"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries." David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission, in an address to a meeting of The Trilateral Commission, in June, 1991.

--- "If we do not follow the dictates of our inner moral compass and stand up for human life, then his lawlessness will threaten the peace and democracy of the emerging new world order we now see, this long dreamed-of vision we've all worked toward for so long." President George Bush (January 1991)

Okay, so let us all assume for a second that us "loony" conspiracy theorists have this whole issue right about the New World Order and their plans for global rule and domination.

Now, it's common knowledge that those of us who believe these "crazy conspiracy theories" walk the line between sanity and lunacy on a near daily basis. That being what it is, I ask the more sane of you members here at ATS to slip down into the fantasy world for a short while and think of what the world MIGHT be like under this "New World Order".

Okay, now that we are in the fantasy realm, what does our future look like?

Mass population reductions, likely coupled with the institution of global "one child" policies in order to maintain the elites' desired population numbers. Our ability to reproduce would be "granted" to us by the government upon their approval based on criteria of their choosing. This would likely lead to a continued search for the "master race". As a result of this, any races deemed undesirable would likely be exterminated with no real threat from opposition. Life span would also likely be restricted to aid in keeping the population levels low.

All tools of possible resistance (IE: firearms) would be removed for our "safety".

Complete removal of citizens' rights and democratic elections. Policy and law would be written behind closed doors and handed out to us as rule. Our rights to free speech would disappear and any speech deemed subversive would be punishable to any level the world government desired without due process or right to trial and attorney. Punishment, for even the smallest of crimes, would likely be incredibly severe.

All information and communication would be heavily governed and controlled. Any method of information exchange between the citizens of the world government would be monitored and scrutinized. Any means that could be used to develop an opposing force would be removed.

Everything from food to work would be rationed to us by the government. Our money would be rationed to us based on whatever criteria the government deemed applicable. Our jobs would no longer be employment as much as "duty".

Any form of entertainment would be heavily controlled and be rationed out to us as "reward" for doing our duty.

Our emotions would be controlled and regulated, likely through required "doping" and anything that could be viewed as having the potential to fuel desire in us would be banned. (IE: books, art, music) This would be done for the purpose of preventing any uprising or resistance.

We would be taught to report anyone who showed any signs of subversive thought to the proper authorities, as would our children. Anyone accused of "thought crime" would be subject to punishment; Likely extermination.

All remaining evidence of history would be heavily edited and made to suit the desires of our keepers. The freedoms of past generations would be made non-existent.

Our forced living conditions would likely be communal. These living environments would be heavily monitored 24/7.

Religion would be abolished. Our worship would be reserved for our keepers.

Our sense of nationality would be destroyed.

Almost every single choice we have in life would be decided for us. Independent thought would become crime.

Those poor souls remaining would effectively become a herd of sheep.

The rest? One can only imagine.

------------------------------------------------------------------

I once overheard a question posed to an atheist from a christian. The question was, "Well, what if you are wrong?"

The atheist had no real answer. When he returned the question, the christian said, "Well, I will have lived a good and moral life and I will die with a smile on my face expecting on my reward. I will have lost nothing."

So, you may be wondering what the point of the analogy is. The point is this.

What is the harm in being prepared? If all of us crazy conspiracy theorists are wrong and there is no huge plan to create a one world dictatorship, what will we have lost? At the absolute worst, we have spent our lives prepared for what may come. In the end, we have lost nothing.

What happens if you are wrong?

This question is what leaves me perplexed with the ways some of you sane members of society view those of us who believe that there truly is an NWO bent on global domination. It's almost as if you guys view us as a threat for simply trying to prepare for what we think is coming. We are basically looked upon as lunatics for doing nothing more than trying to protect ourselves (and you guys, by the way) and our freedoms from what we feel is a very real threat. We speak of things that were the foundations of our country and you guys call us un-American.

Denying that there is a threat, does not make it so.

I'll leave you with this.

We are a government of the people, by the people and for the people correct?
Our government was established, and is supposed to serve the purpose of, suiting the needs and will of the people. So, if our government is doing right by us and if their intentions are totally benign, why all the secrecy?

Why does the government hide anything they choose from us? Where do THEY get the right to deprive we, the people, of information that, by right, belongs to us? They are supposed to be representing us, yet they do almost everything in secret. How are we to know what decisions they make behind those closed doors until they choose to let us know?

The ONLY valid reason for the secrecy is protecting an agenda that they DO NOT want us to know about. If this agenda is truly designed to benefit the people, why the need to hide it?

Secrecy should ALWAYS lead to suspicion. Good is done in full view of all.

Good thread...but I think you understate the validity of NWO conspiracies. At this point, no reasonable and informed person can seriously dismiss all the real information about the NWO. Some people simply are blind and cannot be helped... Spending time and energy on trying to make these people see reality is a waste... I often see in these forums some members writing huge responses to some irrational denier and its just a waste... no matter what you show them, they deny everything. Just move on, ignore, and focus on other posts. Anyway, im off topic a bit.

Im all for preparedness. If your informed and value your future, go right ahead and prepare. Those who are not prepared at all will suffer for it eventually. Even just a minimal amount of preparedness can help.

This is an excellent topic. The fact is, there is nothing wrong with being prepared for such an event. I think even the naysayers would have to admit that. Because lets face it...you really don't have to be a "crazy conspiracy theorist" to figure out that something is coming our way. And whatever it is...its coming fast.

We could be headed for some type of goverment manufactured disaster that will help to usher in the NWO. Or maybe there is no conspiracy and we are headed for nothing more than an economic collapse. Personally...my money is on the NWO conspiracy but that is beside the point. Anybody with half a brain in their head should be able to figure out by now that things cannot continue as they are forever. Changes are coming. And some of those changes could be very ugly indeed.

As for all the debunkers out there, I would have assume that many of them simply rely too much on selective hearing to keep themselves from having to face a rather unpleasant truth. The truth is not always pleasant. And those who block it out of their minds, do so at their own peril.
