I agree that the religious interpretation was annoying. They're only speculating that it's a boat. It didn't look like a boat to me, and even if it is a boat, that doesn't give it religious significance.

Sheesh.

Something that i have noticed as of late is that events around the world do seem to be accelerating. Everything feels more significant, and there seems to be this huge energy building up that's just waiting to release.

I find it very odd that both the Mayans and Nostradamus found 12/21/2012 to be such a significant date! And that we are just now hearing about this supposed lost book of nostradamus.

This is a very exciting time to live indeed! We shall soon see what happens. And just remember, the future is not written in stone! The future is still ours to write!

I wuold like to see what the RCC has to say about some of the things here too.

After all, they DO have some documents that they've been hiding too.

They're too heavily invested in their deception to release what they've got in their archives. Their entire bureaucracy would collapse.

PS: The majority of it is probably kiddy porn.

The Mayans point to 2012.

Time Wave Zero points to 2012.

Now this book points to 2012.

Coincidence?

Some also think that Global Warming is not caused soley by man but as we get closer to the center of the milky way things will get warmer and the earth will be "tried by fire."

What is Time Wave Zero?

Holy crap! Never mind. It's math, so it's beyond my comprehension.

Time Wave Zero calculates the ebbs and flows of time. When Terence McKenna looked at this, time ended in 2012. You can read more about it here.

Another really weird post that you guys should look at;
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Apparently the masons that designed Washington DC built a secret timeline into the national mall. Starting at the line between the white house and the jefferson memorial, and heading up to the capitol, there is a secret timeline hidden in a pyramid that predicts the future of world events. The scale is 10 meters = 1 year.

For instance, the washington monument is 130 meters from the base of the pyramid, and washington became president 13 years after 1776. There are other major events in the timeline too. This timeline ends on 12/21/2007, THIS YEAR!

Apparently the mayans calender and our own may be off by 5 years due to discrepancies in how our timeline is based on christ.

EDIT -- Apparently the original website is down, but you can view the archives here; /ytux58

but wait, I just watched 'The man who saw tomorrow' and it clearly indicates the following.

During 1994-1999 WW3 will be started

It will be the third anti-christ. a muslim with a blue turban who along with Russia launches an all out assault.

A nuclear attack on New York, I cant see this being 9.11 as it mentions hot winds that leave no person left alive in 'the new city' at 45 degrees.

The war will last 27 years when Russia turns on Iran and joins USA and then there will be a thousand years of peace.
Personally as a Brit I'll just assume we are nuked off the planet.

Nothing about 2012 , excuse my ignorance but it surely seems to me like the dates are moved along once they dont happen.
What happens if like all other dates 2012 comes and goes, do we then make another date to rattle on about for a few years.

I worry about peoples thirst for these horrific events to take place, I guess you dont have children.
I will live with the little glimmer of the hope that as Nostradamus and others before and after him have stated that these events can be avoided, mankinds future can be altered if warnings are heeded.

I guess that second coming, messiah and saviour thing isnt going to happen then.

The man who saw tomorrow was just their interpretation of nostradamus. And the first WTC bombing was in 1993, then the embassy bombings in 1998. Nostradamus did not say the russians would work with islam, he predicted the spread of islam to russia like what we see in chechnya. The 1981 docu made the prediction of russian nuclear war based on their interpretations of nostradamus. NOSTRADAMUS DID NOT SAY THIS!

Nostradamus said, "the new city at 45 degrees would burn" with "fire from the sky". Granted, he says the city will die, which it did not, at least not yet.

The 2012 prediction is from the lost book, not the 1981 docu.

The point that i was trying to make with The man who saw tomorrow is that in 1981, people were able to use nostradamus' writings to predict that an arab man would attack new york city around the new millenium. This interpretation was not entirely accurate, but it was pretty damn close. They were also able to predict a san fran earthquake in 1988, but instead it was 1989.

Thanks spoon.
I think the Nostradamus burning new city thing is yet to come (hope not).

Thanks for the clear up with the Russia thing, Although to me it does strike me as relevant more to what is in the works right now with Russia's latest behaviour of 'bomb them your bombing us' attitude.

I find this Nostradamus stuff really interesting as long as it is focussing on predictions before they happen, it seems easy to fit any cryptic message into something that already happened.

PS: 3 and 30 will perish when the winds that cross over the silver river fall down, the bald man carries the burden for faults not his own. This will occur during the first snow of the winter that falls in the stadium of the game and after the singer girl takes her own life.
(not meant as sarcasm, I just want to test something)

Granted, nostradamus' stuff is kinda loose and open to interpretations, especially after the fact.

I think that "the new city will burn" could describe what we saw with the wtc on 9-11. And also the "hot wind" could describe the massive dust clouds from the collapse that covered huge parts of downtown. And possibly "the new city will die" could be referring to all the people that are getting sick from the dust.

The book is a poor copy of the original, and it is far from complete.

I have been outlining some of the other parts in my thread here.

Four bars of gold, three lines of blood, two men on a horse, and one king over them all.

notice how they wait until after the fact that something already occured (in the past) then they go back to look at a book and say "see it said it would happen". notice no one ever seems to tell us about anything that has not happened yet. the only thing i ever found interesting was the Mayan calender for when the world supposively ends. they had a very complicating way of keepin trck of time. the calender is more sophisticated than any book or revelation today. that date is december 21 2012. im sure they all have a date close to this. this calender is based off of astronomy which makes it the most interesting. the Mayan's knew their math and the cosmos. although the Mayans have been wrong on three occations when they thouht their great ONE would return.

I read once a report by an archeologist's (don't remember book or his name) that date ascribed to the Mayan calenders end might be an error on our part. That the real date proposed was 2039 due to their base system being different than ours. Sorry for not being able to back up the date with the data. Just food for thought, Ballenger, Ziess and Sir Isaac Newton all figured 2039.

As for any prediction from Nostradamus, its all guess work. In regards to 2012, IMHO it might be pointing to Ezechiel 38 - 39. End of the world, not yet, too many things have to happen first and not enough time before 2012.

21 12 2012

Who's timezone though?
Or is that just a rough estimated conversion date seeing as they didnt use the same calendar as us.

So far I get
2012 end of the world
2012 the world changes
1999 27 year war with a thousand years peace

It seems 2012 is the latest craze, to be honest I suspect that just like all dates predicted before it nothing will happen and a new date will be made.

Lets take a look at just a few of the previous predicted doomsdays:

End of the world according to Scottish astrologer Charles Piazzi Smyth based on the calculations of the great pyramid of Giza

1914
End of the world according to Charles Taze Russell

1919
Conjunction of 6 planets would make the sun explode, according to meteorologist Albert Porta

1925
End of the World according to Jehovah's Witnesses

1928
May 29 - End of the world according to The Great Pyramid: Its Divine Message by David Davidson and Herbert Aldersmith.

1936
September 6 - End of the world according to George F. Riffel (he later claimed that it had actually predicted the abdication of Edward VIII)

1953
August 29 - End of the world according to the 1940 edition of The Great Pyramid: Its Divine Message

1952
"It's all going to be over" evangelist Billy Graham

1967
December 25 - Nuclear holocaust, according to Anders Jensen of Orthon Disciples

1975
End of the World according to Jehovah's Witnesses

1982
End of the world according to Pat Robertson.
Jupiter effect, astronomical alignment of planets on the one side of the sun would cause lethal solar flares - according to UK authors John Gribbin and Stephen Plageman

Exactly, that is why I said "might be pointing to" and not as a fact. Even Ballenger, Ziess and Newton didn't say it was a guarantee just an estimate. Just a big WAG (wild a##ed guess). OH yeah, I remember Y2K was to be doom and gloom also...NOT!!!

Lets just wait and see what happens.

I just wanted to throw a couple of things out there for consideration. I've been reading/watching about Nostradamus for years, and still haven't decided if the man was legit or not. Once you get past the sensationalism of his claims, there's a LOT of room for interpretation: including the whole Hitler/Hister thing.

But beyond that, I offer these few grains of salt.

1.) Dec 21st as a "significant date" in any year should not surprise anyone. It's the approximate day of the Winter Solistace (usually between the 21st and 23rd). It's the shortest day and longest night of the year (I'm sure you can figure out the symbolism of that), and almost every religion and culture on Earth has applied some extreme significance to it.

2.) Any quatraine about a tower could be about almost any tower, or anything a tower represents. Remember, Towers are extreme symbols at the time of Nostradamus. Whereas today, you'd be hard pressed not to find a city with at least one skyscraper, and helicopters, planes, and satellites make the view from those skyscrapers seem lame by comparison, at the time of Nostradamus, the highest point a man could stand on was either a mountain, or a tower. A tower was basically a thin, manmade mountain. It was a symbol of man's strength, accomplishment, and near prescience of the land, as one could see the entire surrounding area, as well as any approaching or leaving people. And predating and during the time of Nostradamus, the Tower of Babylon being smote by God for man's insolence was as powerful a symbol as you could get and was well spread by the church. "The Tower" is the most horrible card you can draw in Tarot, far worse than "Death". However, the Ivory Tower, a concept much like the philosopher's stone, was an image of learning, of knowledge and wisdom. In literature, the tower typically represented the literal and figurative pinnacle of a hero's battle against evil. In psychology, the tower represented man's obsession with his own manhood.

The image of a burning tower is only powerful in today's time because of 9/11, but previous to then, in modern times, it would have meant little. However, before the advent of skyscrapers and flight, the image of a burning tower was a powerful metaphor in almost any city around the globe for any number of reasons.

3.) "The New City" is almost always attributed to New York by Americans, as it is the largest city with "New" in it that we have. But there are a TON of "New" cities, and in many of Nostradamus's quatraines, he refers to the New City, but it more accurately seems to reflect New Amsterdam. Many historians will argue that there are far more relevant cities that would have qualified as the New City. New York is never a given.

That said, Nostradamus still fascinates me to this day.
