I have an extra satellite dish as we upgraded and so we bought our old satellite dish and also the current one. I keep wondering what I would get if I bought a router and hooked it up to this satellite dish and pointed it at different satellites if I would be able to get free internet or what I could pick up? Would this be illegal? Is it possible to use an old satellite dish this way for something other than tv? Has anyone else ever tried this?

Who knows maybe one could pick up some alien conversations while the UFO's are flying over?
Any tech folks know what would happen?

Anyway my brain thinks up this stuff all of the time, you should see some of the food combinations I have put together, LOL some of it the dogs would not eat and some has been excellent.

the parabolic is tuned to a specific frequency band and is not suitable for uplink, plus you would need a transceiver. ebay it.

Thanks, I did find this when doing some more research, it looks like there are plenty out there trying something similar. I will look for a transceiver, thanks.
