Well....i guess i realized a few days ago i was an avid watcher of the skies. I have always been of the belief that this is an awfully big universe for no life besides us. The other night i saw the first real UFO i believe ive ever seen, it also made me realize just how much i look towards the heavens. My friend was driving me back to where im staying and of course, it was just after dusk, i was looking at the sky on the ride home. As im looking i see the landing lights of a plane...the two bright white orbs and the smaller red and green blinking lights. Behind it i noticed something strange...it was an amber colored light, first red flag in my mind, and was moving extremely slowly. I should mention we were at the outlet of a suburb going onto a main road that usually has mild/medium traffic, however that night it was a little clogged. As im watching this light it starts to go behind some branches, which i used as refrences for smaller movements, i should also state it was a pretty breezless night. As im watching it go back and forth slightly i start to get a little excited...but tell myself its prolly just some plane or helicopter. I dont like to dissulision myself, but this started to look genuine. as were driving i notice that it goes from me having to look back to see it to it slowly accelerating as so im looking in front of the car to see it...this happened twice and over a period of about 10-15 mins. I noticed the light had a very fast pulse to it...not just a flash, but a color change as well...it would go from dull white to a brighter amber color. But as i said, it was a rabid flash...not at all like a planes navigational lights...also the color was very distinct..not like a planes landing lights. As we neared our destination the craft, i use this term lightly, darted once so that o had to turn my head about 4 inches to the right....and then shot straight up leaving an almost luminescent trail that lasted less than a second. So there it is...after years of being an avid skywatcher and not realizing it...i have seen my first ufo.
