Silbury Hill Lights [video]

To me one of the more convincing ufo vids in recent times.

I got this footage from one of my mums friends, who shot this in Avebury, England over Silbury Hill on the 17th of July 2007. Atleast 2 other people witnessed it (guest house owners).I will try too obtain more infomation from the women who shot this when possible! Possible expanation is hot air baloons.

Interesting video. Would like to know why she didn't zoom in or get a clear shot with out any bushes in they way. Seems if I thought I was filming a UFO I'd try to get the best shoot I could.

I agree, I would at least try to push the weeds out of the way. It sounds like it's near a road.

At first I wanted to say it was those UK lanterns. Then they appear in the sky not coming up from the ground. Some go out and come back on. Great hoax if it is. Maybe they were making a crop circle.

Don't be fooled by the triangular shape of the objects. The camera is focusing on the weeds in front of the camera, causing the distant lights to be way out of focus and take the shape of the internal iris of the video camera.

Anyone know if there is an airport in the direction of the lights? The way they are coming in reminds me of planes lining up for final approach.

Yes, the maker of this vid didnt do a very good job. She seems to be rather inexperienced in the use of her cam, it appears as if she has it on autofocus the whole time. She could have tried to find a better spot for filming as well.

For a hoax it doesnt seem spectacular enough. Except for some distant lights out of focus, nothing really happens.

I wouldnt rule it out but doubt these are airplanes lining up for landing. The lights appear and disappear very quickly. There's no dimming or fading in /out. Also, by the way they move, they would have passed right over the witnesses head(s).
As I get it, the witnesses are local residents of the area. If so, they should have been able to identify the objects as planes.

In the end there's still not enough info to this video to come to any conclusions. I find it very interesting though.
