Alternate
Fuel Sources:

Solar Power
Wind Power
Geo Thermic power
Hydrogen fuel cells

All of these are good clean fuel sources but unfortunalty big oil has control of every infrastructure on earth. And we are at the point now that we can predict how long these oil sources will probably last. Lets say about 70 years until the big drop off. Just an estimate. This is the day all those alternate fuel seekers are telling us about, warnings we should listen to but what are we doing about it.
We are not changing on any kind of scale that brings true impact. This is a problem for alternate fuel because the big impact on global warming and pollution come from the bigger industries whose economic wellbeings are tied directly to the economies of the large influential countries.

The alternate fuel side want us change the world by changing ourselves. Getting hybrids, adding AF's to your house or company in order to conserve what?
The Earth is the answer they want you to think of but in fact all you are doing is conserving the earths OIL reserves. The oil companies love this. Mark my words each of the large oil companies will contribute huge sums of money and political influence in the support of alternate fuels.
The oil companies problem is how do get more out of the oil we have left. Alternate fuel is doing there work for them but under the misconception that these alternate fuels are somehow greening up the planet. All they are doing is extending oils rule over the earth and in the end the same amount of pollution will enter the environment.
What needs to happen is a top to bottom change before we hit the wall with oil. Give the masses an infrastructure to support that change, like hydrogen fuel stations, public electric rechargers etc. All new construction should be build with the ability to adapt to the new fuels when they are developed enough. Point is we need to see real changes from our leadership and real policy u-turns in order to make a future with alternate fuels possible. Using them to mitigate oil prices will just keep oil entrenched.
Using Alternate Fuels now will soften the impact of higher oil costs as we get lower on oil. All this serves is to extend and possibly increase the amount of damage we do to this planet.

You don't need a big infrastructure to make your own power. Nobody's stopping you from building your own relatively inexpensive heat pumps and windmills (as long as they're quiet and don't bug the neighbors), and solar collectors. You can run your car on hydrogen or electricity or cooking oil if you want. Most places will even pay you for any spare electricity you generate and pump back into the grid.

All it takes is for you to get up off your chair and get to work, rather than complain about how some conspiracy is keeping you down.

Read up. Get busy. One of the biggest wastes of energy is complaining about it.

Yea that would make me feel like I accomplished something. Problem solved.

When in reality the corporations and municipalities continue to burn oil.

Acting locally and thinking Globally only works if you eventually face the problems outside your front yard.

John doe is not going to buy a car that he cannot fuel up. What I mean is you cannot market these fuel changes, the ones that go beyond your front yard, unless its cost effective to the masses. People who can rig up their own power souces are a ridiculously small percentage of the population, so small they have no impact on the big picture.

Continuing to support oil and its price buffers, like household energy savers, we are doing nothing but streaching oils lifespan.

Why people keep on saying big oil a.k.a Jews gang has control???????????

Just slap their faces whenever you see them, if Hitler could wipe off hundred of thousands of them, why can't we?

Racist? hahahaha............ it is Jews' joke.

the sad truth is that it takes more oil to make the alternative energy devices than they save. It matters not, there will be no way to keep up with demand for energy no matter where it comes from.

This whole thread bothers me. We can make hydrogen from water and use the hydrogen to power anything. When the hydrogen burns it makes water. Water was the source, it will never run out because it always comes full circle back to what it was to begin with.
Fossil fuels actually do the same thing, but it takes sooooo much longer.

Can you provide me with the math that indicated to you that it takes more 'energy' to construct a solar panel of a given size than it will 'convert' ( i know, i know) over it's lifetime?

And what do you base this claim on given the fact that we seem so perfectly able at this time?

Stellar

Inert gases..... the best 'fuel' ever.

Invest now or I told you so later.

So powerful the engine blows up from an inert gas.

Or did the Navy switch injection material.

Imagine.... they wanted to prevent a hoax.... but sabotaged
it instead?

Your Welcome.
