Clive Barkers Jericho

Ive always liked Clive Barker games ever since Undying (scared the hell out of me when i was younger) Now he has a new game coming: Jericho.

You play as "the most elite force in the US military" codename Jericho.
I wont bother outlining the story, instead ill just link it. If you like FPS' and Clive Barker, this game is going to rock.

Comes out Oct 26.

Clive Barker is an amazing writer, The Hellbound Heart is my favorite horror novel! I just hope he's had enough creative freedom to make this game the way he sees fit! Most vid companies just wanna make money, as opposed to making quality games...such as the Halo series!

I've seen some screenshots and a couple of vids, this should be pretty cool! Hopefully it won't be another Condemned: Criminal Origins disappointment!

Ya i know what you mean about creative freedom. But if you look into the story line, Id say its going to be a wicked play.

Story from what Ive gathered so far is basically this: Your the leader of Jericho (with a squad of 6 others) and yoru job is to stop "the first born" from entering our relm. The first bord is supposed to be a creature god created before adam and eve.

When you read into it, it seems there is definately going to be some conspiracy twists to it, with shadow governments and evil persona.

Ill check the reviews when it comes out (which in in a week from today) and if its any good, ill pick it up and let you know.

I've already pre-ordered it!

I like the story, Im just not sure about the whole special forces aspect of it, I would rather see something along the lines of Midnight Meat Train or Tortured Souls! Something Clive excels at!

I know what you mean, but i think its smart for the game company to move to squad based play, i think thats the future of gameplay.

If you like surivor horror you should check out Left 4 dead

Its going to be all online, but freakin awesome!

Either way, with the addition of "Psychic powers" and squad based shooting, i think itll make for a good game.

Man you should check out the interviews with the coders. The run you through the game system and you see some footage. They talk about how EVERY level s enemy positions is randomized, so you can wonder through half a level and see no action, then turn a corner or open a door and be hit with a wave of em.
Not only that, but the zombies arent just the usual shamblers that walk slow, these things move like in 28 days/weeks later.

Everytime you play the game its different and just a spooky as the last. It takes teamplay and squad functions to the next level.

I cant wait till it comes out.

It's gonna be hard to top Dead Rising though, in my opinion!

Of course, Resident Evil 5 would blow both of them outta the water! But that's not till 2009 =(

I actually kind of lost interest in the RE series. They were good stories, but i stopped playing console systems, and direct ports of the games were always lacking.

Ive been playing the demo of UT3 and its fun as hell, cant wait till the release date.
