Last night, I watched a show on the History channel about the predictions of Hitler's reign and at the end, they showed this prediction about the next Antichrist and the third world war. First off, how do we know that Nostradamus was talking about an Antichrist? He could be predicting anyone. And from our perspective of Nostradamus' prediction, he doesn't mention anything about an Antichrist. Secondly, what do you guys think the "comet's run" is? Is it a metaphor for something bad or good to happen? Finally, how do we know this prophecy hasn't already happened in the past? There are no specific dates that are mentioned in this prophecy so I am assuming that maybe it could've happened already between the time he made the prediction and now. I'd like to know some information from any Nostradamus experts here.

WHAT IF EVERY1 OF THIS GENERATION IS MABUS MAYBE AFTER WE ALL GET OLDER AN HAVE KIDS THEY FIND A SOLUTION OF PEACE BASED ON THERE KNOWLEDGE OF OUR PAST..

is it a mere coincidence that barack hussein obama is connected with
governor mabus and shall be his spokeman and right hand (we have been warned by nostradamus that the name of the anti christ shall be Mabus, and that he shall be of moslem decent or maybe nosradamus meant connected with moslems(obama is of muslim descent and mabus abassador to a muslim country) raises the question... is barack obama the anti christ????? what do u think?

MABUS is ObaMA-BUSh - not really a person but a transition period.

Just like Biden said Obama will be tested - already by the economy and now the russians. During the US power transition, the economies of the world begin to crumble causing poverty hunger and famine, civil demonstrations (China, India, EU, South America, South East Asia) then civil wars erupt (already in subsaharan africa), and as the world decends into chaos, barbarity, and piracy.

After the US power transfer, Obama starts governing (so MABUS is dead) concentrates on domestic policies and pulls backs troops around the world. The US populace gives a mandate for more multilaterism, so the anarchy around the world is allowed to continue while the US concentrates on the economic homefront. Other powers (EU, UN, BRIC countries) are impotent as they try to deal with their own internal problems.

Civil wars around the world allow extremist elements to fill power vacuums. Extremists cause/start a conflict/misunderstanding between powers like US-Russia(in med. - Libyan Base & europe - Missle shield), India-Pakistan-Afghanistan, or North Korea-neighbors.

It will take some time (maybe around 2012) but the true culprits(extremists and sympathizers) are tracked down near Har Megiddo and destroyed by US and a "coalition of the willing" v.2

Obama isn't the bad guy - he's the "dark one" who will unite the like-minded tolerant people around the world and save us.

The anti-christ is probably the one who rallies up the extremists.

Concerning the current war with israel and palestine, could mabus in the nostradamus quatrains be referring to palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas?

As I noted in another thread, Nostradamus predictions go all the way up to the year 3797. It's unlikely that any "end times" predictions are going to be made 17 centuries prior to that, so anybody looking for Mabus in this time period are going to be disappointed.

Besides, the Penn & Teller argument about this holds pretty true. Of course, Nostradamus would want to disguise and code the names of the people he was talking about in his own time, or they would have come after him with burning torches. However, if he's talking about somebody in the distant future, what reason would he have for making up anagrams? Why not just use the real name? Who would know, or care?

I keep my theory still open..

I think that mabus was sudam. As stated by someone else mabus held to a mirror spells sudam. I heard that nostradamus did his predictions by staring into mirrors while sitting in the dark. Sudam has recenty died. I think the one who seeks vengences was G.W. Bush and the hunger and all that is refuring to our current enconomic crisis. The comet that runs is refuring to the comet that ran to the start of the rise of hitler it was set to run again in 2006 I think I read on a web site about nostradamus predictions although they believed that mabus is bush and it was predicting his assasination in 2006.
