First, having day round survelience of the skys is a great idea and I applaud the attempt.

However, the implementation is lacking. It appears that at best, you are using standard web cameras either recording directly to hard drive or dvr style device.

The first problem with web cameras is the focus/zoom ratio. They are not designed to film things great then 20-30 feet away. so even at max zoom or focus, you aren't getting much more then 2-3 stories off the ground. Yes, clear blue sky, but if something at 1000 feet flew over, you'd never make it out what it was.

The second problem with web cameras is their frame capture rate. Its extremely low. It has to be to save the bandwith for teleconferences etc. Even some of the videos you posted show this when the bugs fly over, and it appears they jerk across the field of view. So if you got a fast mover UFO you'll get one maybe two frames tops.

Overall, I dont think you'll capture any video worth a dime this way. You'd be better off saving up for at least a cheaper surveilance camera that is capable of 200-400 feet zoom. Might get a low flying UFO that way!

Cheers,

Leibolmai

Sorry buy I film jets all the time at better than thirty thousand feet and what you see is clearly a jet no different than looking at it withy the naked eye of course unless you zoom than it just gets bigger.

This is starting to look like an artifact of the camera.

BTW, your "skyfish" is a bug. I know, too boring and mundane. Get me a video of one of these "rods" or whatever they are being mispercieved as these days in the dead of a cold winter and I'll ponder changing my mind.

EDIT to remove a stupid Q....

Digital zoom is useless for this type of work.
What is the optical zoom? That is way more important!

I guess it could be that. The best way for a mothership close to ground to travel would be to hide as clouds.

mportant!

Zoom is 10x opticle and this clip was set a 3x Zoom is not a factor as this appears to be about 500 to a thousand feet. If a jet where in the shot 30000 ft you would be able to see wings. Zoom is of no factor at all here.

The following clip show a white dot (unknown) probably at a very high altitude. As you can see this thing seems to make an effort to stay in the field of view for a minute or so then the rectangle. Ive seen this before and if you notice it is the same shape as the original clip semi cloaked at the beginning of this thread both clips are taken on the same day just hours apart.
