I started playing computers in backgammon in the 80s, and later a plug in electronic computerized version of chess called "Chess Challenge 3". In
those days I copped a fair share of wins.. Now it is much different story, now computers like Deep Blue beat the world champion with realitive ease.
Computers on ICC are dominant over all but worlds best players in a variety of versions of chess. IEEE SPectrum this month had an article about
computers cannot beat champion "Go" players.
I think we will probably see cyborgs, where the human mind is connected to different mechanical components to improve aspects of the mind. For
example, give perfect memory and stuff like that.
Even though I feel that it will only be used for wars and hurting people...
