This supports the assertion that the NAU is underway. It is from the Senate, after all.

thomas.loc.gov...:H.CON.RES.40:

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That--

(1) the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System;

(2) the United States should not allow the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) to implement further regulations that would create a North American Union with Mexico and Canada; and

(3) the President of the United States should indicate strong opposition to these acts or any other proposals that threaten the sovereignty of the United States.

I suppose the naysayers want to see:

(4) The United States should not produce the Amero.

Why on Earth would you want a NAU and why would it be a good thing along with the NWO and one government? Its total lunacy!

Oh, and the coins are totally fake. They are just novelty items.

I don't necessarily buy these particular images. Perhaps the image that was received by some radio show host is legite, but not sure about the others.

Anyway, there was a guy on the Glenn Beck Program, who's name escapes me at the moment. He was on this past week. He said that by November 1, 2008, we will be on the Amero. Mexico will start using the Amero before then.

Anyway, Glenn Beck made a bet with the guy. If by November 1st of next year we are not on the Amero, then this guy has to come on the radio and admit that the Bohemian Grove does not exist. But if we are on the Amero by 11/1/08, then Glenn Beck will do an entire radio show dedicated to uncovering the Bohemian Grove. Either way, it should be very interesting!

I think (now don't quote me on this) that the legitimacy of the "Amero" is being debated here, not the NAU.

As been stated many, many times by other posters, the "Amero" is fake, it's simply an art project produced by Daniel Carr, who has even said it is fake and he does not support the idea of the NAU: link

Personal opinions: The "Amero" is a terrible name for a currency; it just sounds ridiculous. It's a fantastical spinoff of the Euro. The design, no offense meant towards the creator, is something that I think the American Treasury would never use. It just looks silly (which might have been the intent of the creator)[sidebar: the American Quarters have gotten a bit silly if you ask me with the different state coins. What a waste of money to print/design]. Paper money and coinage seems to becoming obsolete and a hassle (which has been said before).

Now, as a hypothetical situation, I think a unified currency among the Americas seems possible, but not likely in the near, near future. I mean, they just spent lots of money redesigning all the US bills with all those "security" features. Why would they do that when they're just going to put a new currency in place? Doesn't make sense to me.

The images presented are fake coins ( but real in the sense that they were made).I know that because the same gentleman who did the design Daniel Carr, designed and produced some coins for us,a numismatic club.
He have supplied the metal ( copper, silver, etc) and the coins were produced by him.
If you look closely on one of the images posted, his signature can be seen ( a D and a C).

Daniel Carr has made quite a few coins, by the looks of things.

Thanks, Bursuc. A little google and lots of examples to see.

These are quality coins, for certain.

Wow

I'll bet you an Amero that these coins are not real currency. Think for a moment. Why would anyone be interested in merging with the Mexican Economy. I would not buy a used car from anyone involved in this bit of fiction.

Most here seem to have missed one very important thing on the coins. Why are most of them American related symbols only? I mean come on if they were to be a univresal coin they would include symbols from all the countries involved.

In this hypothetical situation, I think that Mexico would be more than happy to join the American economy. (Not like they aren't already with all the people that work here from Mexico.) The loss of culture would seem irrelevant to the government versus the other "pros" of the union, IMHO. (Not to say that the Mexican government does NOT take their rich culture very seriously, they do.) Not too sure what to say for Canada, but it goes along with the vast US mentality that "We are the top dogs". Besides, I think I saw a globe on one of the "coins"

Edit: Other countries already use/accept US currency without any complaints: link

Absolutely in fact it was on more then just one

www.designscomputed.com...

My point was that most of the symbols are American related I.e., US flag the word Liberty and Statue of liberty Torch just to name a few. Now if you were Canada or Mexico would you want the statue of liberty or US Flag on your money

Is it common for them to put disclaimers like "we will be selling this coin until no longer LEGAL to do so" on all fantasy coins? Thats what they have displayed on the page selling the amero.Just wondering why it would become illegal.

Copernicus, did you even go to the site that actually produces the coins? It's a fake.

Don't be so happy to buy into every half-baked hypothesis you hear.

Turner is a big fat liar. Don't be a fool and follow the Lied Piper.

So how do you explain him holding and bouncing a genuine coin in this video?

Also you have lots of pictures of them on his web site. They dont look like fake toy coins to me.

Thats a big coin how come when he drops it, it sounds like its made of aluminum. Have you ever dropped a quarter on a table it doesnt sound like that.

Either way, I sincerely doubt that there will be a NA Union. Seriously. The US is too caught up in being "special leaders and protectors of the world" to share that dubious honor with Canada and Mexico.

Military powers support themselves by absorbing foreign economies as part of their own.

There are obvious benefits for Canada and Mexico too.

Well, the images of the copper colored 20 amero coin were taken with a Canon Powershot A530 on August 31, 2007 at 4:19pm and 4:26pm Mountain time.

What I think is very interesting is that the area covered by the Union of North America on the coin does not stop with Mexico but includes all of Central America, ending with the border between Panama and Colombia. That would include Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama.

Very curious.

The Daniel Carr trademark is rather obvious on the bird side.

Honestly not being sarcastic here. =|

I for one also belive in this whole-hearted!

A one world government, in my eyes, is truely the best couse for humanity as a whole...

I would love for all of us to be refered to as Humans or Earthlings or whatever the common name would be. The predjudice we all have now could compleatly be dissolved within the time span of just a few generations under a one world government...

As long a we label each other there will always be hate for the "other man"...

Folks, PLEASE read the thread before replying. I see this often in discussions here, and sometimes there's an excuse when say, the thread is 200 pages long, but this one is only three. There's links aplenty to prove that the coin is a fantasy mint, created in artistry and for fun.
