Was C2C Drone Halo 3 viral marketing

Now that Halo 3 is officially out and people have i'm sure played through it. I was wondering if any drone stuff was actually in the game like many skeptics claimed.

Alas we can maybe put the viral marketing angle to rest or prove it. I was just wondering if anyone has played Halo 3 and has discovered Caret stuff in it.

I didn't find anything remotely similar to the game Halo and the Hatian drone...
