Ok not so sure about this

what i meant by portals was not necessarily the gates to hell. More like communication pathways that form when you access certain energies that invite entities from the other side to that location.

You've heard the phrase "timing is everything"? A lot of times when someone is scared, they run the opposite way. Subtlety is often a more 'amiable' approach. One of the reasons why I like the movie Mars Attacks is as they are slaughtering earthlings they're shouting "We mean you no harm, we come in peace!".
