Italian Astronomers stumble upon UFO on the Moon

Hi Spacevisitor,

The original source link still works. Not sure why you say it does not work.

The google video though has been taken off.

Google is the first one to take it off the net. So, I guess they are the most connected to the Kooks from NASA and Pentagon.

But the stuff is already out everywhere....Poor Google.

Could it be possible that this is a manmade satillite? Maybe one of our mapping satillites or something?

It's very odd, how so many interesting UFO footage clips get removed after a few days from GV/Youtube (about half of Youtube short UFO clips I had bookmarked in the last 3 months are gone)...

On the other hand, clearly CGI/hoaxed stuff like the Haiti are even prominently featured on Youtube's first page, attracting millions and millions of viewers.

I have just viewed the video on the alternate site listed above (Thx!), and it seems that it is similar to what I observed thru the telescope a couple of years back in 2005 while observing the Moon.

If indeed it was a "U.F.O" then it was a huge craft. If not, it still remains unidentified.

Mine was a bit slower and more of an oval shape.

As an experienced astronomer....quite unusual.

Youtube is also owned by Google. So my best guess is that the user who uploaded this on Google removed it for whatever reasons.

What do you guys make of these? Still balloons?

It's hard to say what it is, obviously, but it does appear to rotate. I doubt it's a satellite only because I've never seen a satellite move like that before.

I really don't think it's on the moon, though. Toward the end of the clip when the anomaly moves off to the top left (De Sitter), there's no perspective change in the object. It's always a top-down view of it, so to speak. If this thing was, say, 1000 feet above the surface, it would have followed the curvature of the moon. It would have gotten thinner and flatter as it moved off toward the horizon. There'd also probably be a shadow for something that big, which there isn't.

My own unprofessional observation leads me to think that this anomaly was somewhere between Earth and the moon, and the only way we saw it was because the big white canvass was the perfect backdrop to be able to see the thing. Maybe it was in our own skies and happened to transit, who knows.

Was there anything in their data that confirms this thing to be on/above the moon?

Thank you for the Zip. I'm all over this. I was thinking of modeling this in CGI to look at size of object giving shadow. This will help.

If the video was a fake or merely a Balloon in front of the astronomers lens, why was the source taken out?

Because in according with what stated the guy who filmed the UFo is not a website but a shared folder. You should know it since you did a P2P search.

Yeah. It may have been a shared folder. But he could have always put something there explaining what this stuff originally was. Why take it off?

Or was it taken off on coercion? I am just speculating.

Yes, i understand what you mean
but for instance, when he isn't connected, the folder results as an 404 error, page not found.
We should try again later. If you want, i can write to him asking if he removed the files, no problem.
