TEHRAN, Sept 22 (AFP) Sep 22, 2007
Iran's armed forces on Saturday kicked off an annual military parade to mark the anniversary of an eight-war with Iraq amid growing international pressure on the Islamic republic over its nuclear programme.
"Iran is an influential power in the region and the world and the world should know that this power has always served peace, stability, brotherhood and justice," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in a speech to mark the event.

This is a interesting note considering all the War mongers in the media frothing at the mouth. Its grounding to see the text of "The Grand Chessboard" being carried out to the letter.
I just wonder who will pull the trigger, the proverbial shot heard round the World. Most Americans will be caught by surprise for sure, but that is the perfection of the design.
