Has anybody seen this? This is the first time I'm coming across it.

Scientists are experimenting with a number of insects, hoping through genetic engineering to make them more farmer-friendly and less of a disease threat to some of the world's poorest populations.

The only thing like this I've heard about was the man-eating flies developed in Mexico-
- and viruses that are altered to act as semiconductors.

even if they become farmer friendly, they'll still be pests. Why don't they make it to where they leave us the Hell alone. especially here in ccolorado. We had that west nile thing going around like crazy.
