UN in Scotland

I seen a UN registered vehicle 4x4 in my Home town a little fishing town in the NE in Scotland. I looked up there vehicle registrations on the UN website and this reg is only used in war torn regions. Ie Afghanistan and so forth i,m not exactly sure why they would be here any idea,s

Is there any large vehicle maintainance shops around there? Maybe they repaired it was were road testing it. Or it could be a long term road test. As long as the guys driving weren't in full body armor and carrying weapons I don't think you've much to worry about.

There is no reason for them being here they have no bases here unless they are planning to move into Buchan which is empty right now???
