Let anybody take us over and still living in the stone age ? Boy you sure are way years behind in history. Going back some 500 years, we kicked out the Turks, Napoleon, The Nazis, Nato and The British Forces Base and we are still a self Governing Country till this very day.

Not to speak for "them" but that sounds exactly what they are saying in this thread and others. Crazy times we live in when people accept this kind of behavior as appropriate. So I have been "lurking" on these boards for the past few weeks more interested in the news one can find here that is not found through the mainstream media. This is by far the most disturbing thing I have seen, I do however feel like he was being quite loud and resisting, but on the other hand I would have been too, and at the very least I would have liked to known why I was being placed under arrest.

Beyond that though I would like to know if anyone can make out what Kerry said in response. I can here him say "hold on let me answer" and he keeps talking throughout. Does anyone have a transcript or can anyone understand what he is saying?

I voted for that guy? I'm glad my vote got lost/stolen (N/M district 19). I wonder if he will ever answer the question? The campus cops messed up the kids nice shirt. The new thing about protesting is that you are only allowed to do it in approved porta-potties and nowhere else now.

I am sure the readers of this forum are curious to know just how the American way of ' fighting it ' is going to happen in order to get your Freedom back .

No you can't. You can be detained until a police officer get there to arrest you, but you cannot be arrested by a private sector enforcement agency.

If this were the case, I'd just establish a corporation called Tyranny Security and go arrest The Executive Branch for jaywalking, lock them away in the deepest cave I could find and throw away the key.

I know this wasn't directed at me but, oh well.

I am a red blooded American. Live in Texas, raised in the country, Firefighter, come from a military family....I think what everyone is missing is that nothing else matters but what happened at the exact moment that the kid was tasered...At that EXACT moment did the police have the need to taser him? He was immobilized by six, count them, SIX officers. His arms were restrained, legs were restrained and his body was restrained. At that MOMENT what was he going to do? They had NO reason to taser him at that moment.

How can ANYONE say that he had it coming? What led up to that MOMENT has no bearing on what the cops did. " He set it up" , " He was loud" , " He went over is alloted time" , " He was confrontational"....NONE of those matter. None of that gives the police the right to taser someone that has already been Immobilized. Yelling does not mean you deserve to be tasered.

I don't understand how some of you say he had it coming. Hopefully, one day, I will see you get tasered and I will just say, " well, They shouldn't have been so loud and obnoxious. They deserved it."

I guess right and wrong don't matter anymore if someone had it coming to 'em....

i'm well aware of the type of people drawn to this forum, but i'm always amazed at the content of these discussions.

i guess i've been quite desensitized throughout my life (it's been quite a bit grittier than the average one, i promise). but i found the guy getting tasered hillarious! here he was with his elitist attitude and this plan to put john kerry on the spot... the authorities asked him to stop and he refused. they asked him a few more times and he refused. they cut his mic and he refused. they tried to haul him off and he refused. all while getting rowdier and escalating the entire situation.

the guy was being a dickhead the entire time and in my opinion he got what was coming to him. he even knew it was coming and had plenty of warnings.

he was clearly resisting and being totally uncooperative. he was not completely restrained. right before getting tasered he made an attempt to get up.

another underlying story is how pathetic is it that 6 cops could not successfully restrain and detain one unruly kid...!

to me, looked like the big black cop could have just tucked him under one arm and walked him out of the building.

if you see me detained by six cops with a taser being poked in my chest, you are going to see me being fully cooperative!
