State Senator Sues God

www.ketv.com

OMAHA, Neb -- State Senator Ernie Chambers is suing God. He says it to prove a point about frivolous lawsuits.

Chambers says senators periodically have offered bills prohibiting the filing of certain types of suits. He says his main objection is the constitution requires that the doors to the courthouse be open to all. Chambers said, "Thus anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody - even God."

All I can say to this is lol

Looks like the years of rediculous and frivolous lawsuits we've read about for so long have finally come to a head. I wonder if there is a hurricane-proof prison to put God into

Shouldn't the judges involved in these cases rule whether or not a lawsuit is frivolous or not??? The problem when you start legislating these types of things, special interests groups get involved and warp these bills to there liking.

This is utterly stupid. To sue someone you have to be able to serve them the summons, or the case can't even begin. So how is the senator going to have god served? Leave the summons in the collection plate?

I swear, just when I think I've heard the stupidest thing ever, something else comes down the pike.

I'm not sure what this guy's ultimate agenda is or for who he's working, but I'd like to keep my right to sue anybody, and just let the judge decide whether it's frivolous or not.

Where could the public outrage lead other than to the removal of more of our rights? This is being done on purpose, but it's not the purpose that Senator wants you to believe. Problem/reaction/solution.

Peace
