UFO Destroys my Hometown, Then resurrects it!!!!

I grew up in the 70's and my father used to buy 2 or 3 of those UFO magazines every week. It was funny, too, because he never finished high school so he wasn't a big reader but he loved those mags. In fact, he even got me into them as a kid. They were as much fun to me as my comic books. It was the first place I ever read about Travis Walton and Kenneth Arnold.

My Dad died over two years ago and those mags are a great memory from my childhood with him. We looked forward to the editions every week and shared our fascination about their far flung stories. You know what they say that even the most outrageous ideas have at least some basis in the truth. I think that's what fascinated Dad and I the most - that anything is possible.

Thanks Dad for the memories and for my lifelong interest in the subject and thanks Klev for helping to "dig" up those memories for me with this thread.

Ouuuuch! I hope i dont have it. I have seen dopplegangers lately, and i mean here and there at the same time!!!

I know this is off topic, so I'll keep it short. I was surfing the net the other day, and ran across a photo of what has to be my doppleganger. I sent a copy to one of my brothers, he asked where I got the Canadian t-shirt.

It's so close it's creepy.

I also ran into my next-younger brother's doppleganger about 10 years ago, sis-in-law had walked up behind this guy and hugged him before she realized it wasn't her husband. So they set me up, I came around the corner and grabbed the guy from behind by the shoulders and started talking to him, he turned around, and I just couldn't figure out what was wrong, it was Todd but it was a little off. Then the real Todd popped out and we all had a laugh. The guy's voice wasn't quite right but face and build were exact. I've seen twins that weren't as close.

And Toddler isn't what you'd call a stock human. Dad used the chunky brush and the ugly stick on all five of us.

In Malaysia we've got plenty of those, they're called hantu raya and are usually employed as slaves to do one's bidding. Gotta be careful though, because they might decide to take over your identity instead of doing your work for you!

there are so many fake magazines like that around and they always place them right infront of the cashier you know the ones im talking about.

That would be my guess, several people in town still have copies, I just need to find someone who will let me borrow it and scan it on my computer.
