Static electricity powered craft?

Does anyone have any information on craft that runs on static electricity from the air? I would assume such a set up would require capacitors for lift off until reaching points of absorption?

Would such a design be possible? Is there enough static electricity available?

I don't think that would work, such a craft would need to travel a lot on some conditions to gather electricity.

But I am sure that TeslaandLyne has something to say about that.
