Extreme info!

As usual I will open up with some unrelated text, you can skip this part if you like:
My most recent threads have been ignored pretty hard, which is in itself pretty sad but I guess it all comes down to me and what I write, so nevermind. This one, on the other hand, is some sereiously weird #.

I know how all these people in this forum says that they are ex-camo dude or agent or worked inside dreamland and so on, blah blah, but I will not go there. I have my secrets and so, but mostly I am just another regular guy out there.

So, to the deal;
I just returned from a short trip to Romania, lovely country I must say. There I met a person, who in his turn knew "somebody" (by now this story has already lost its value to most, but please read more) who had some very sick information to deliver.
A warehouse, big as hell, guarded by what seemed to be military personel, at least they were armed with firearms. This warehouse was not a military installation, it was a storage for "one big hamburger chain" (you know which one). To this location everything was delivered from abroad, all from bread to salad and so on.
The most disturbing fact was that the meat came from Africa! This "somebody" never saw one crate of meat that did not originate from Africa, the starving continent.

So, you may wonder, what's the deal with that? I'll tell you what the deal is; where I operate, there are quite a number of these restaurants, like the world average I guess, but they claim that ALL the meat is domestic. That is kind of strange when I think about it, because agriculture here is a losing business. If all the meat to all those places, plus all the other restaurants, food stores and marketplaces were domestic, agriculture would be one hell of a business, but it's not. Same goes for Romania, and the bigger part of europe. Here is bred a lot of cattle, still the meat is supposedly originating from Africa. I mean, what the hell?

If the majority of africas population is starving it may not be because of bad lands for breeding cattle and crops, it's because we take it from them to feed our obese asses. This disturbes me alot. Especially here, where I operate, it's a very big deal with the origin of meat since the domestic is considered more "better". But I know this company is evil in its core and that they would easily lie to their consumers to the bitter end.

I will look harder into this, even though I might tread into some sereious quagmire. One thing is for sure though, until some other reality that what I know now comes to light, I will not put my hard-earned money into that blood sucking company!

Anyone else got more info on the subject? Please write whatever!

That is wierd. It kind of doesn't surprise me though. Armed guards too? In the UK you can't get into any meat plant as far as I know because of the the cameras, barbed wire etc. but I guess it's a matter of time before they've got armed guards at the gates here too. It is bad, with all the starving folk in Africa, but there's plenty of stuff we all take from that rich country while the citizens live on fresh air & nowt much else. Pity you didn't visit and get some pics.If the rumours you've heard are true more info is sure to pop up soon.

Yeah, that is exactly what I am talking about; the creepy feeling of being a part of this hypocrisy without any way to fight it. What should one do, boycott all foods from Africa and not only steal their food but also taking away their jobs? Ugh, I hate this absurdo-capitalism.

That continent sure don't have to worry about starving. There are minerals, oil, crops, fish and cattle for the whole lot of them but we just have to steal it from them so that we can continue larding up.

And on goes these pathetic "live aid" and alikes, telling us to end world hunger in 2000-whenever while we get meat sweats from the third QP and have to throw it away.

It's enough to make one suicidal.

Ok, after some more research I found that the meat here is not only domestic according to this restaurant. It hails from Germany and Ireland and also some domestic (a qualified guess would be maybe 1-5% of it).

Can someone in here read romanian? Maybe the romanian homepage says something.

I understand now why Bush tells people all the time to eat more Beef. Is he profiting from it?

See, now this really chaps my ass... I saw this kind of thing firsthand in Somalia back when I was deployed to help "Restore Hope". Sell it somewhere else for a bigger profit. The cardinal rule of capitalism.
As for me, I'll cook my own food- I won't eat anywhere that has a clown as a spokesman.

Now that's a healthy rule of thumb. Clowns are in general creepy as hell and sometimes right out evil.

If you mean did I see trucks full of beef get hijacked and sold on the black market(?), no. I did not see it happening. I (and many others of a "coalition" force) were there to disband the gangs run by warlords that were doing just that, though.
Was it worth it? Look into what is going on in Somalia today, and form your own opinion.

Also- clowns are the scariest form of mind control that has ever been thrust upon children. MEGA creepy (shudder).

Interesting story squire, though not all that surprising. Romania, whilst being very poor, was also outwith the EU until this year, so dodgy trading and lack of regulations is not a great shock. And we all know how much major corporate companies like our pals at Mickey Ds hate regulations. Like the fanta in Ghana that stains stone. Mmm.

It wasn't even that... in this instance, UN foodstuffs and relief supplies were being hijacked by warlords and sold on the black markets. This type of stuff is old hat in Africa though. It would not suprise me one bit if the "unconfirmed" story about Romania had a fair bit of truth to it. One thing that bothers me though: Why be so callous and blatant and stamp the incoming goods "Africa". This seems to throw our old friend, plausible deniability right out the window.
Just doesn't seem right, but then Romania and the corporate clown do make their own rules, neh?

It's a reminder that, despite grandiose rhetoric we encounter in the hypermodern era, the real root of "conspriacies" always go back to questions of who owns the land, who owns the meat, who owns the means of production, who owns the capital, and how people try to steal, manipulate, control and consolidate the resources. "Conspiracy theories" just trace the sometimes elaborate and perversely beautiful mechanisms, pretenses and plans used to affect this monopolization.

This is just the way things work now, not saying that it's right. It seems that all western economies are based on the idea of take from the poor and give to the rich.

This is an instance of taking from a poor country and putting it in the hands of the rich country. The same thing happens all the time in America, where the middle class is shrinking, because the wealthy pay much less in overall taxes than the working class.

Most of us are serfs. We may not like the word, and we try to disguise it with elections and credit cards and cable TV, but it's true. Most Americans, and I suspect many other western nations as well, work to keep the rich ever richer.

Let me ask, when is enough money enough? Does Bill Gates or Warren Buffet need to make more money? They made their pile by following the American dream, and I can respect that. But when is it enough? When does the excuse of it being the "fruits of hard work" wear thin?

Countries, just like individuals, let greed for the sake of greed, overpower all lines of what is humane. In this case, it's let your fellow citizens starve so you can be rich. And big western business is all in agreement with that as long as it aids the bottom line, because the power brokers that control these corporations, are run by the "overlords" of our civilization.

Don't you just love humanity?

Yeah I know what you mean, and I tried to make that as clear as possible in my opening post.
I will investigate it furthur of course and as far as this story goes, it's mostly just words.
But only the thought of something like that is sickening.

This thread will not only discuss this isolated, plausible but not proven fact. It is meant to be about the whole hypocrisy regarding Africa; how we say we want to stop hunger and poverty while we suck them dry on everything that is needed to build a nation: work, resources, food, water... All this "aid" we give is only in a ratio of 1/99 compared from what we rob them of.
Disgust is what I feel.
