Made Up Bands

Ok, an idea for an unofficial contest. Rules are simple. We make up our own band names. Names of real bands should not be used and, of course, we should all follow the rules and guidelines for the site. The band name can be as many words as you'd like keeping in mind that anything too long might not be realistic. Also, you should avoid symbols unless you're planning on having Prince in your made up band. The eventual winner will be determined as the person whose post has the most flags. You can enter as many ideas for names as you'd like but each time you do, you should also flag a post whose name you like the best.

I'm estimating to continue this for about a week or so depending on the volume of responses. I'll keep tabs on the thread and let everyone know when we are getting close to the end. Then I will inform everyone as to whose post and therefore band name had the most votes. We can have multiple winners in the event of a tie unless someone has an idea for a way to break a tie should there be one. Not to worry, because I'm so NOT musically inclined that I'm not using this as an easy way out to come up with a name for a band of my own.

Don't me over this - Just thought it might be a fun idea for some creativity. Also, since this is an unofficial contest, the only prize will be personal satisfaction.

Hows about a band named BURNOUT....since most of them do eventually anyway....

I like the name "Death Before Denial", or for some lighter names how about "The Sugar Coated Sugar Cubes" or "The Sandy Sandals."

When I was in third grade we were tasked with designing an album cover for an imaginary band. I came up with the band Toxic Shock Syndrome and the TSS was very similar to the way Styx appeared on their albums.

I got into trouble for the name. I still think the name rocks.

Ha, me and my buddies used to have this topic as a running joke back in college.

My fave was "Mr. Pickles and The Unmentionables". It just sounds so dastardly to me for some reason.

I wasn't aware that Sugar cubes was her band's name, I just googled it. I always actually thought of sugar coated sugar cubes as being a good name for a cereal, because they always find a way to add more sugar in them!

It should be noted that I came up with that name when I was in third grade which was way back in the day and this guy came up with his band name in the 90's so there's some royalties to be paid.

The name of my supergroup comprising dead musicians in Don Wahns supergroup thread was Ashes to Ashes. I think that would be a cool name for a death metal band.
