Aircraft Safety Regulations - The Backwards Approach

Late 2003 Australia introduced new measures into air traffic control.

Basically the new amendments allow light aircraft into commercial aircraft space WITHOUT the the need to report with radio or transponder.

To me this is the most craziest thing I have ever heard and it is just a matter of time before a disaster in the sky happens.

There have been several near misses. And apparently people are starting to wake up to the idea that the new changes are'nt so crash hot.

I cannot imagine why they decided this.
