It's not new news to hear the China is threatening to drop the U.S. dollar and U.S. Bonds. Neither is the finding of lead in baby toys, bibs, tainted toothpaste and dog food, but are the 2 related? If China drops the $ it would send Our market into a tail spin, possibly causing a 'depression', and it would greatly reduce the U.S.s 'clout' within the world. Is it coincidence that these toxins were 'found' in their goods at this particular time? Is the U.S. trying to make a point by strong-arming China into not dropping Our dollar?

Peace. K*

I too had the same thoughts.

China also had a recent "cyber" attack on the Pentagon's mail server. But, they were also accused for the same type of attacks in Great Britain and Germany in just the last few days. It's hard to tell what "we" are doing at the same time to their computers as they don't have the same type of press in their country.

All this together is a little worrisome as this playfulness can lead to a more dangerous situation.
