I wanted to share an experience I had, in 2002, in a hospital about 14 miles to the west of me.
I had been admitted because of extreme stomach aches, and after having a scope ran down my throat, they told me I had GIRD, which explained throwing up blood.

So I'm in my room alone, trying to relax, because I have an extremely hard time doing so in hospitals period, when the nurse told me I should try to walk, and get my legs working again.
At this point, I was 1 day from being released, on NO drugs, no IV, nothing to mess with me mentally, or physically.
I walked down the hallway to my right, and made it JUST past the nurses station, and happened to notice how cold it was in that area.
I heard what I thought was a small, high pitched clicking sound to my left, so I looked into the room, and saw a HUGE figure, standing at the end of someones bed.
I would say the figure would have been 7-8ft tall, HUGE, just this wide mass, all black, but not pure black, more of a charcoal color.. like a black mixed with grey.
No features, no eyes, nothing. Just this mass, at the end of the bed.
It freaked me the hell out, I wont even lie.
I turned around, and walked back to my room, and about 3 doors down, I heard a buzzer go off in that exact room.
Come to find out, the room had an older woman in it, who had died just then.

I don't completely understand what I saw.
I have no pictures obviously, no proof, just what I saw.
To this day, I've never seen anything like it again, but I'm sure I'll never forget it.

Before I forget, I wanna explain the cold feeling.

It wasn't a feeling like, cold air.
It's not a cold on your skin feeling, but more of a.. deep cold inside you feeling, like you've been outside in the winter all day, and when you come in, the cold is still in your bones, etc.

dont know alot of things like this but may your encounter possable been with "death" or some sort of soul collector.... i would would say that barring the"maybe your crazy thoery"that some mite preseant to you, that you may have a higher suceptabilty to other realms of existance and that mite account for what and why u saw.

peace

wow that would be quite scary for me too. hospitals make me nervous, so i avoid them like the plague. so what do you thin the shadowy figure was? Also did it have limbs? did it see you look at it? i'm sure you would have felt something if it saw you look at it i think.

Hospitals freak me out too, specially the smell.
When I was 7~8 I spent one month in a hospital because of a cerebral problem, in fact a cerebral thrombosis.
It was life changing, and after that I started to sense some deep strange energies surrounding the places, specially 'dark' ones but I don't know how to describe them. I have no idea if it's a sequel that I had from the problem, but the feeling I have every time I go to the hospital is horrifying.

Well from what I remember (this WAS 5 years ago) it had NO features whatsoever that I could make out.
I'm not going to call it anything, because for all I know, it could have been an Angel, Death, the old womans soul, etc.
But I saw it clear as day, for at least 10 seconds, and the thing never moved, never made a sound.
I didn't get any feeling of danger from it, aside from the cold feeling.

If she died then it was probably a reaper. What probably happened is that you sounded pretty weak as the nurse said you should walk around to get your legs under you. So you were probably in a prone position physically and you just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

It could have been.

I hadn't gotten out of bed for almost 36 hours, and they wanted me to walk, so I'd be ready for the next day to go home, but like I said, I was on no meds, no IV's, I ate regular food, etc.

I felt fine walking out of my room, it was somewhat comfortable temp, until I hit that womans room, and it was absolutely bone chilling, but noone else seemed to notice, or say anything. And from experience, women working in hospitals tend to gab alot to each other at the nurses station lmao.

Man, everytime I go into a hospital now, I look into every room, wondering if Ill ever see it again.

What hospital is this?

I know exactly how you feel. I've been in the terminal wing (or whatever you call it) and just felt cold- like all the hairs on my neck and arms stood up. Weeeeird

Not surprised at all.

Hospitals are crawling with *entities/Spirits/call them what you will*...its like Sixth Sense up in there...and their buddies are gate-crashing the party and bringing kegs...

This is possible, I believe. If I were you, though, I wouldn't go advertising that too much... lest you find yourself in a hospital once more.

Not sure: A family member once remarked on seeing a suspicious person roaming the halls, elevators and waiting rooms. This being was human like, dressed in 1900s or so garb, and and it's energy was like that of a reaper, he seemed to follow people around and embark on taking their life.

Mt Sinai, Miami Beach:
I did feel a pressence closing in on my path while in the hospice waiting room.
During the visit to my great aunt, who was dying in hospice-uncouncious, mind and body eaten by cancer-, I help her hand and talked to her. I told her it's okay if she wants to pass now, she is loved, very special and need not be trapped in this unconcious state full mental-possible body- of pain. Not knowing if her mind could here me or not, but apparently her higher being did understand me? While I was away downstairs, i was told of her passing. I was only 17, wondering if it was my advice or was it the reaper...
