I did a search on Google on something about 911 that I needed to show some pictures of the Pentagon on Sept 11.
Here what I type in Google for my search (911 pentagon pic ).
This was the second site listed on Google.

Someone is paying to keep this site High on Google search engine.

The foremost links on Google are based on the number of hits that particular site gets and its relevance to your search data. If you consider what you typed in and then factor in the fact that the thread in question has more than 4000 hits, I would imagine it would sit fairly high on the Google search list. That doesn't mean that anyone is paying anything to keep it that way. It's just logic, boss.

Well, most of those search engines have flaws. Sometimes you search for a particular item and you get stuff you don't want. So I wouldn't trust em'.

As EdenKaia suggested, I would also suggest that you first try to understand how Google works. You can have a top-ranking page without giving Google as much as a cent. The technology Google uses is called Pigeon Rank.

Why Google's patented PigeonRank™ works so well

PigeonRank's success relies primarily on the superior trainability of the domestic pigeon (Columba livia) and its unique capacity to recognize objects regardless of spatial orientation. The common gray pigeon can easily distinguish among items displaying only the minutest differences, an ability that enables it to select relevant web sites from among thousands of similar pages.

I don't know. I find them quite useful when doing research. Plus, they are trying.

Here is an article regarding the Bush Administration's attempt to subpoena search engine hits from Google uses for content. Google refused to release the information, stating it was a violation of user privacy.

I dont know but the site was done post on ATS in 2004, and it is so one sided.
I get the feeling that this is part of this post anyway.
I also noties the person who posted that thread never show a close up of
the pictures of the inpact hole showing the core collem was still standy in the impact hole befor the Pentagon fell.

i used to run a warcraft 3 website on google, the others are correct. if you pay to advratise there your link comes up on the upper right hand side of the page away from the main links.

it is however exceedingly efficient.

One thing is pretty obvious. You can't put a search word into Google and expect it to compute "the truth". It's not that easy to find the truth, you know.
