1st civilian resistance army!!!!!!

With all this talk about martial law and other current events, i think we as a nation should maybe ban together as one in case our government does try to do something crazy. I didnt know where to post this idea so i decided to do it here. So in the light of things, what are we suppose to do if the people we put in office tries to do some wacko stuff and declare martial law. What do we do. I think some of us should get together and think of ways we as a nation can take our government back. Like if something does go down we can have a code word and meet somewhere and plan something and communicate with handhelds and ham radios. Im sure a few million americans could do something along with some rouge military units. This isnt a thread to have a idea on how to over throw our government, i just want some ideas on measures we can take. Any ideas would be awesome.

I would not get to paranoid over this. Marshal law is used to prevent looting,killings,riots, and chaos. If you don't freak out then nothing to worry about because the only thing that might happen is a curfew. Just get you a gun and if they come to your door to take you away for no reason at all then fight to the death but be sure to aim for the face because they will have body armor.

You gotta get people away from the boob tube first. Americans today are not your Americans of a 100+ years ago. You would be labeled a threat and taken out quickly. Take away T.V., alcohol, and/or cigarettes, then you will have plenty of troops, but as far as politics go? Don't count on any support.

i am completely down with this there are at least 30 people in my very small school(100 people per grade) who would stand up against the government if they tried to do this

And you all would fail horribly miserably. Being 'down' just doesn't cut it. Have you been in the military? boy scouts even? hunting? How long do you think you would last? This ain't the movie 300 my friend.

Well im not talking about 300 people either. But, just what if there was more to this martial laaw and went beyond what marshal law whould be. I think we should have a plan in place, to try and deal with the issue. I dont think it would be hard to kinda have a sleeper army here, and in the event things got out of hand, then we as civilians could stand up for whats right and our rights and fredoms. And honestly, i think a actual unit could last a awhile. and think about it, if it came down to it then some people in the military would not follow orders and help. We are the most heavely armed country.....i think all those guns could do something.....i know in my neighboorhood now we have enough guns and other weapons to defend a small country.

If it boiled down to it, there would definitely be an armed revolution. But it shouldn't have to come down to that if more people would turn off the T.V. and stop digesting b.s. and everything else they see and hear. If everyone was more involved then we would see change. But IMHO, I don't think many Americans truly give two squirts about it, as long as they have T.V., Hummers(the vehicle ) and beer, they are content. Hell, 1/5 of Americans Can't Locate The U.S. on a map. Most can't recite the second amendment word for word and yet they want to give their 2 cents on what it means. You want reform? start with yourself and your community first. There I said it!

Don't worry about organizing right now just get your friends and family and try to explain to them what may(we know it will) happen. Please don't try to form a resistance group now because seriously you will be taken out if it ever gets to be something big. Treason and lifetime in prison sound good.

Anyway there will be resistance parties and I guarantee that I will be a leader but you have to know who to follow everyone can't be a leader but the leader should tell his followers his intended actions and plans. If not it becomes George Bush Administration again in a movement to stop the Administration.

BTW Please pay special attention to the month of September in general and ESPECIALLY 9.7.2007 and 9.27.2007. 9.7 I have had feelings about and 9.27 seems like a very likely date because of the time of year and conditions will be right.

And just who would you all be fighting? The police or the National Guard?
There is no way marshal law can be implemented outside a rather small area.
Marshal law is used when laws have broken down, and if you are in an area that needs to resort to this the police or National Guard are the last people you will want to fight.

im sorry but this thread is just emarrassing. it is all so cute to play make believe soldier until someone actually fires at you with intent to KILL you. Sometimes i wish some of you had actually been in a live firefight situation so you could see how much "fun" it actually isnt...then again i dont wish that on my worse enemy.

i wanna know how you expect to fight the worlds most powerful government and military. things are easier said than done. personnally, in the event of martial law, i would be heading for the hills and trying to get as far away as possible from the rest of the world.

There already are several resistance groups in existance and the government labels them as anti american groups, even terrorist groups.One is the Michigan Militia. Like someone said earlier probably not a good idea as in this cultural climate we are in at the moment; you would be brought in for questioning fairly
quickly I would think.Just stay in your home if martial law is declaired and follow the curfews. Now if they start rounding people up and taking them away for no reason then organize and fight to the death to defend your families and community.

Ok "IF' anything ever happens, i just think its better to be prepared then to be sorry. I know for a fact that if the situation did occur then i would fight regardless of the circumstances. I think to be ill prepared is just stupid. Its easy to get prepared. Or atleast learn somethings. Like for one, if you have a gun, learn how to shoot it, 2nd, learn some tactics and gorilla warfare and also read up on urban tactics, and learn and read some survival skills. I know if anything happens i wanna be prepared. Also i think we would have help from rogue military units and as the resistance would grow we would have more and more help from military personel that dont wanna fight there neighbors anymore. Its not about ever bein shot at, its about making a stand for whats right if we are ever faced with that scenario. For anyone to sit back and just take it is a pussy. Anything is possible so you should have a open mind before you start writing this off as some freak anarchist militia thread.

Well one thing is for sure if the president ever got in his mind to turn this country into a real police state and was to try and use military personel then it probably would not last very long.Remember all those soldiers have family spread out all over the country as well. More than likely the military would march to the white house and place the president and his entire cabinet under arrest and held for treason and crimes against the people of the United States.

The DOD is already pretty unhappy with the Bush administration. I did some work at the pentagon in 05' for several weeks and got to talk to alot of soldiers there.everyone from Sergeants to Captains and asked their opinion of Rumsfeld.
They all 100% of them said the military hates Rumsfeld and can't wait for him to go.

Ok first, you need to do a little research on "gorilla" (guerrilla) war tactics.
Guerrilla is spanish an refers to small wars, that translates to hit and run by a mall squad, for example the american version of guerrilla warfare would be a navy SEAL team going in at o'dark hundred and taking out a ammo depot and getting out hopefully unseen. you have heart and thats half the battle.

As far as us winning the fight, I think that is extremely doubtful. What we would hope for was that our fight would be enough to influence others, including people IN the military, and people in high positions of authority to stand up as well, or make things change.

I DO think that we need something. Even if it just starts out as a committee to protect our rights/civil liberties. Kind of like an FCC for cops and lawmakers.

Just brainstorming...

If your situation ever arises (I'm inclined to think it will, sooner or later), I'd be more concerned with surviving the initial implementation. A resistance and any revolutionary (preferably non-violent) actions will come together on it's own as the "dust settles" and we know exactly how deep the crap we're standing in really is.

First off I believe many people are using the thought of 'marshal law' incorrectly because that is not the term to actually use to describe what will happen.

More rules will be implemented, your freedoms will disappear, the government's control over everything you do will increase beyond anything you could thought possible. They will continue to secretly attack their own citizens under the false flag of terrorism and use this 'threat' to subdue the populace into a trembling rubble who will beg their government to lock them in their houses with a heavily armed police force outside.

Those of us who decide to go against our governments in the pursuit of freedom will be branded as terrorists, shot down in cold blood, and shown on the evening news as another reason why its not safe to go outside anymore.

If the whole populace does not rise up against this new power as an organized resistance, the few people who do fight will be wiped out without a trace.

Think I'm crazy? The increasing force used in the UK and the States is proof enough that the tables are about to turn. Look at the real new. The States turn their spy satellites on their own people, increase military forces on their own soil, pass laws that take away several freedoms, arrest peaceful protesters, can open your mail and probe your calls without warrant.....the list goes on.

In the Declaration of Independents written by the colonists of the United States it declares that if the government of a nation is not servicing the people for which it stands then it is the responsibility of the people to overthrow the government and put in place one that functions correctly.

The question is, when will the people of the United States and other western nations rise up to fulfill their responsibilities? How much damage will they allow their governments to commit? How many countries will they have to selfishly invade? How many freedoms will they have to take away?

Where will the line be drawn....

your government hasn't even begun to take your guns off you.....do a google search on firearm laws and the gun buyback here in australia, then you'll understand what removing firearms from the populace is all about.

Trust me when I say this, if the australian firearms laws were implemented in the US, there would be a huge uproar!

in the event of a martial law scenario, if you are not the type of citizen to lie down and let the government walk all over you, I'd be getting me family and some basic supplies and heading for the countryside or hills as soon as possible, get out of the cities, thou by the time you decide to do this, it may have already been locked down.

Guerilla tactics can be very succesful, and very dangerous. like Infiltr8u mentioned earlier, small highly skillled units of men can be an extremely effective tool against larger numbers with a go in quick, hit hard, and get out ASAP operation.

but with technology these days with drones, cameras, infra red etc, unless you are clued up on the equipement your enemy has in its arsenal to use against you, then you are already one step behind in the fight.

I suggest run and hide first, let the dust settle, analyse the situation, then prepare with a small group of trustworthy and like minded individuals, and then implement not only your plan, but your escape and disappearance too.

you too will then become the "terrorist", that once your nation tried to fight against
