Trapped Chinese miners survive on coal, urine diet

After all the horrible media coverage I've read of the trapped miners here in Utah, I was amazed to hear a real story of survival. Here miners survived terrible circumstances by taking on some odd behaviors. The link and snippet below:

Two Chinese brothers who tunneled their way out of a coal mine collapse after being trapped for nearly six days survived by eating coal and drinking urine, a local newspaper reported on Tuesday.

you gotta do what you gotta do to survive, and i've heard your own urine is actually good for you, like an elixir?

forgot what it was good for..can't remember it was a bit of stuff
