I had not noticed your post until now.....the thread disappears from my subscribed threads list, then suddenly re-appears when a new post is made!

I have found those photos again, I believe. Still on the presidential library site, just took a bit of digging!

Notice how there are no recognizable landmarks, no group photos in grade school to establish his presence 'here' at a young age.....

He's often shown alone in a rural, farm-like setting that might be anywhere....Plus, that seems an odd place for one 'born with a silver spoon', etc, etc.....more like a youth raised in a more 'working class station', eh? ( I'd expect tennis or boating pics from 'summer camp'....not hog tending?)

I can tell by the way he made that catch that he's American. Nice stretch, foot on the side of the bag, nice. They still don't play baseball in Germany.

BTW if you really wanted to you could trace the license plates of those vehicles that are seen in some of the pics. That would get you a country, but would it satisfy you that he was born in USA? I don't know.

If you had read all of my posts you would know that I had already mentioned that the auto tag resembles most closely, that of the state of N.H....for '36.

When he played baseball it was most certainly in the US.....'cause that's where he went to school as a highschool and college student....there's numerous group photos of him and the team.

I started reading this thread, as I mentioned much earlier, thinking this was too outrageous to be believable, but found it difficult to find what I first thought would be an easily accessed 'internet brag book', of George HW's earliest years....first day of school, kindergarten group shot at some exclusive day care....

Now, I'm not 'convinced' either way....and no, a photo of oneself with a 1936 Ford, even one with NH plates, is not proof of birth in the US.....just ask Lou Dobbs.
