Who says no one's expecting it? If the rumor mill around here is any indication, then the top brass of our own government seems to feel as though something is being cooked up. Does this make it true? No, but it does make it a bit more tangible to believe.

With that said, I need to make a point that I feel is very pertinent here. When it comes to reporting news, there's one thing that we all ask for, and that's a solid source. Some sources aren't as legitimate as others, and then yet others are completely devoid of any credibility at all. SUN, and any other "tabloid" magazine publishers are what we would consider "non-authoritative" media, because they offer no evidence other than hearsay for the things that they claim. They make outlandish claims with no supporting evidence, and make huge leaps on said claims, to form a story that's completely devoid of any truth, aside from the little nugget that they started with. Another one is wikipedia. We don't usually reference them because they can be edited by anyone, whether they have information pertaining to the subject or not. I could go to any wiki site, and add in profanities anywhere that I like, and it could potentially ruin the site. My point here is that sources like this are terrible for credibility.

Please consider these things when you view stuff that you might consider putting up here at ATS for us to peruse. We're kind of harsh sometimes with those stories that seem to be ridiculous. This one isn't ridiculous at all; it's merely not supported with anything real. I think that what we really need is some solid evidence that what SUN says is going on is true. Maybe then we can listen to them for once, without laughing.

Divine Chronic.

I am disturbed as to the level of the detail you go to in this thread to describe what will unfold in the coming two weeks.

How can you guage that much detail from Bible Codes.

And if you knew the exact targets and the delivery methods, then you really should go to the police if you are so sure.

How will I survive Sept. 11, 2007? By looking both ways when I cross the street. By checking for traffic when I pull into the street in my car.

Sorry if I don't treat this with anything even vaguely resembling seriousness. Bible Code? Really? Did they check Moby Dick, too? Just to verify?

Yes they did. Here is the link:

LINK TO EXTERNAL SITE (Australian National University):
cs.anu.edu.au...

You'll see that "Moby Dick" predicts the assassinations of Indira Gandhi, Leon Trotsky, Martin Luther King, JFK, Abraham Lincoln, Yitzhak Rabin, Princess Diana, and others.

I can't find it right this second, but I also used to have a link to a story in some other college paper about how they applied the Bible Code to the text of a copy of People Magazine and found the same sorts of stuff. If I can dig up that link, I will.

Enjoy

Ok so god gave us the information to protect the sites in HOPES they won't be hit. He went to all this trouble hiding intricate messages to give us a "clue". Why not simply tell where the terrorists are so we can FOR SURE stop it?

Also, why only would the bible give info about 9/11 and not of any other tragic things that have happened throughout history?

I think this will either make or break the whole thing for me so in a way I'm interested to see what happens.

divine chronic, what if you are 100% completely and utterly wrong about the whole thing and the whole "prediction" thing is no more than the usual stuff we see every day?

The Sun is probably the top of my list of "Newspapers that should not be trusted by even the biggest of fools"

You should apply for a job with the Dept of Homeland Security since scare mongering is a talent you seem yo possess.

Divine Sun,

Whatever happens in 8 days (likely nothing spectacular, in my opinion), I would guarantee that the Sears tower will still be in one piece afterward.

Call it a 'gut feeling'.

I know what I won't be doing on 9/11/2007...

Listening to this "warning".

I know what I won't be doing on 9/11/2007...

Listening to this "warning".

But what's the fun in that?

It'd be a blast. We could meet-up at O'Hare, rent a car, I'd lend you one of my tin-foil hats, and we could go screaming around Chicago pointing in the general direction of the Sears Tower while shouting, "It's coming down! IT'S COMING DOWN!" At the top of our lungs.

After it was all said and done, and they let us out of our cells to allow us access to our legal counsel, we could attribute the whole thing to this 'blessed warning' - even if it WAS only a flase alarm - commend ourselves for our heroism in bringing the message to an unawares public, and (if we play our cards right) get an appearance on Oprah.

...Man, suddenly 09/11/2007 just can't get here fast enough.

LMAO @ Grinning Moon,

If things really do go down and noone is prepared who'll be the ones laughing? Definatly the OP, and those who have prepared for this.

If nothing happens then I dont have to buy groceries for like 3 months....

I belive in the bible code, but i dont belive in being able to predict the future with the bible code. My own beliefs, but so far they are true!

Here's a thought. The bible code has been debunked.
Yep, it's meaningless.
No such thing.
Useless.

Here's why:
1. Major Bible scholars ignore the code because, they note, no one has a letter-by-letter version of the Bible as originally written. The oldest surviving manuscripts include slight variations, any of which would throw off computer test results.
The actual truth about the Bible codes was finally revealed by statistical analysis: they do not just exist in the Pentateuch; they are found everywhere. The codes are found with approximately equal frequency in the Book of Genesis, the Qur'an, Tolstoy's "War and Peace," or in any sufficiently long text written in any language

9/11 has come and gone, and oddly enough we are still here.

But then I remembered to look both ways when crossing the street, and turning into traffic.

OH NOES! New data (my imagination) suggests that we'll all be dead on 11/9!

(see what i did there. they switched the month and date to throw us off...)

are we done with this doomsday crap yet?

They will never be done. It doesn't matter how many of these doomsday predictions fail there are 2 or 3 the very next month with almost the exact same people worrying and hyping them.
