This thought just occurred to me. IF/WHEN the North American Union comes into affect and our currency is changed to the Amero; Will the Federal Reserve have control over the Amero like they do our current currency?

If not, there may be something good to this NAU after all (not really...more like the lesser of two evils). However, I just don't see the Fed. just letting all that money fall from their hands. Would instituting the Amero as our national (continental?) currency nullify our current monies? Would we have to exchange all those junk pieces of paper called federal reserve notes for Ameros?

Any information you guys have would be appreciated. What do ya think about this?

Surely they would have answered if they knew. My guess is since the federal reserve is private banks anyway I would say yes the Federal reserve could still have control of US money.

if nothing else they would probably create a new reserve and just import all of the standing debt/money control to the new bank.

I can't see the Fed letting their stranglehold go. I have to believe that if the Amero comes to fruition, the Fed will control it.

Unfortunately. A double dose of [snip] for us all.
