That is the thinking that will get W. re-elected. Is there no individual thought left in America?

That's the problem instead of dealing with the problems all people want to do is drink or turn on the television.

Personally, I plan to vote even if the machines are rigged. That's all I can really do right now...

and, Flinx, I think it's similiar with the pres election. If Clark were to win NH, delegates would vote for Clark at the DNC convention. And, each state gets so many votes/delegates based on population. sort of like the electoral college, I suppose. Though, McCain gave his votes to Bush so Bush would win outright. That's probably common - and we'll probably see in with the Dems this season.

In the last election I was a huge McCain supporter, and I mean huge. I followed the primaries and was saddened when it was mathmatically impossible for McCain to lose.

There's only so much time I can spend worrying about this. Sometimes you just need to relax and forget...for a while at least.

Speaking of television, Stargate SG-1 is almost on! Whee!!

McCain and his black daughter. That one really pissed me off. Thank Karl Rove for that. McCain would have been a decent president, far better then Bush.

We can all drink and watch T.V., but we have to use the only day, in 4 years that we actually have democratic power, voting day, to set our next 4 years. The only time we have democracy is during an election, after that the elected officials can do as they wish.

Yes and shes adopted.

edited for misuse of words

First, Rove and his little buddy had to beat off a surprise primary challenge from charismatic war hero John McCain, whose sacrifices in a military prison camp in Vietnam looked all the more impressive against Bush's no-show National Guard travesty. Rove conducted a whisper-campaign to spread sleaze, pushing ridiculous allegations, such as that McCain was a stoolie while imprisoned in Vietnam. Rove was reputedly the brains behind a sleazy e-mail forward that alleged McCain had fathered an illegitimate black daughter, a lie which was "proven" by actual pictures of McCain with his black daughter, whom he had actually adopted.

Not true. It's the 2 year elections that really shape this country. Congress has amazing power, it decides what laws will be and passes them. Plus, most people don't vote in the off 2 years when there's not a presidential election. Those are the times that the people who actually care what's going on on Capital Hill vote, and the masses of sheep stay at home...drinking

junglejake: I was just thinking the same thing. Look at the 02 election which gave the GOP control of the senate.

People don't think those elections are imporant and Democrats in general don't 'get out the vote' while republicans vote, and vote often.
- so, that ignorance basically gave more power to the GOP in 02. (and, I'm pretty much a flag waving, gun toting, yahoo-Republican but, I hate one party, either or, having that much power)

My prediction of what the outcome will be like for the Dem. nominee selection goes like this:

Winner: Clark
2nd Place: Dean
3rd Place: Edwards
4th Place: Kucinich
5th Place: Kerry
6th Place: Gephardt (sp?)
7th Place: Lieberman
8th Place: Sharpton

Outcome: Bush vs. Clark

My belief:
Winner: Dean
2nd Place: Clark
3rd Place: Kerry
4th Place: Edwards
5th Place: Gephardt (sp?)
6th Place: Lieberman
7th Place: Kucinich
8th Place: Sharpton
Outcome: Bush vs. Dean

Personally...I wish the winner were Edwards.

I think Kerry, but that's only because he's ahead in my state according to the newsrag.
