Maybe we want Iran to "relax," make them think, hey they don't have a large naval presence, they won't hit us now. Instead, they have false security while we launch a massive amount of fighers/bombers from Iraqi and Afghan airfields to do the deed.

but dont forget the bases in iraq will be in striking range for iranian airstrikes so that maybe why they sticking to carriers a little bit safer not sure though

Bush stated a while back that Iran would NEVER be allowed to have nuclear weapons. Yeah, we are going to attack Iran, more likely sooner than later. As for ww3, we have been fighting it for years. 9/11 started the larger wars, and this will most likely just get bigger and bigger. Just my opinion, but I expect an attack on Iran, its a no win situation, but Iran is one of the last countries on the face of this earth that should have nuclear weapons, and more than likely either the US or Israel will take out Iran's nuclear program, diplomacy won't work in this situation. IMO.

yea well israel is another country which should be alloud to have one they got there bombs the dirty illegal way they are a threat to all muslim countries if war broke out.

In reflecting upon your questions some more it seems that the USA is indeed going to go to war against another nation, namely Iran, and it is a pre-emptive war but it will be given "moral cover" by there being another terrorist attack on the USA proper.

The wind is blowing in that direction. It seems that Bush is determined to start another World War before his term is up. The stupid thing is that Iran was starting on the path to a more enlightened society. The only point that they hadn't changed was their view of Isreal. And truthfully I can't blame them for that. I'm not a real fan of Isreal either.
What the US needs to do is tidy up the mess in Iraq and get out of the Middle East. Let the other UN and NATO countries handle Afganistan and remove their presence from the feild. All an armed US force in the Middle East does is stir up harsh feelings and give the radical Mullah something to point to as the cause of all their problems. With the 'Great Satan' gone, they would have to face their problems instead of passing them on to their enemy.

yea i agre direwolf but think off the consequences if or when war breaks up we will be looking at economical problems possibly millitary strikes on israel and us interests in the mid east as well as a massive surge in violence in iraq thats all we need more bloodshed and more innocent civilians and troops caught in bushs fake war

we wont goto war with Iran in a conventional manner, like we did to Iraq, with a massive ground invasion (well, for us it was pretty big anyways) supported by the air and sea elements.

Invading Iran by ground would end up in a situation like the Korean War, eventually they'd push us to the coast by sheer weight of numbers and discipline (willingness to die). All the while, they'd be covertly supplied and helped by Russia and/or China just like in the Korean War. But I dont think there'd be a "Chinese Rescue Squad" again.

So what would happen would be precision air and sea strikes on Iranian land positions. Radars, nuclear facilities, logistics and communications buildings, etc. Then they'd move onto the concentrated troop formations.

A few odd planes will be shot down by Russian made/supplied anti-air weapons(already in place, TOR M1 mobile battery), and these airmen will be taken prisoner and paraded on television.

The only ground forces we'd have in Iran would be Special Forces.

Iran would immediately launch missiles at Israel if the USA attacked. Israel would start joining in on the bombing runs, causing Hezbollah in Lebanon to wage war on Israel again, even if they dont participate in the bombing really. And the UNIFIL forces will get attacked by Hezbollah, pulling the U.N./NATO into the conflict more as a world body, since its their troops inbetween Israel and Lebanon keeping the 'peace'.

You'd better hope whoever launches this attack will know well enough to have withdrawn the vast majority of ground forces from Iraq before doing it, or else our positions in Iraq will get lit up like crazy from Iraqi Shiites as well as Iranian launched weaponry.

Then the Mahdi comes and saves the day, lol.

yes but i syria will join also iran and syria have a treaty if one is attacked the other will join in also irans army is not all grouped to gether they are spread they have learnt from iraq war were saddams army was together and crushed such as the madina division.

We may not all be going to war, but I think that war will soon be coming to all of us. When (not if) BushCo attacks Iran, I think the globalist end game will have been put into action. I expect Russia and China, who are both economically and militarily aligned with Iran to respond. If they allow Iran to fall, they will have been put at a fatal disadvantage.

What form will this response take? I think it depends on how Iran is attacked. If the neo-con crazies use nukes on Iran, all bets are off. It’s well known that the globalists want massive population reduction, so what’s the quickest way to kill the most people? Hope you enjoyed you summer folks.
