More robots!

With all of the Mars Rover news going on, how about some more robot stuff... Many of us have seen the tech starting to hit mainstream with the likes of Roomba and RoboMower. I noticed that this morning ArsTechnica has a news item worth checking out with some links to a few different robot stories. Some of them are applications that I at least hadn't thought of (like the robot scientist).

Are there any other robot fans out there? What's next? Is there a RoboCop in our future? Will Roomba ever become powerful enough to handle a house with two dogs? Or do we have to wait for Rosie?
