For what reason are they putting installations in the moon? Are they installing for studying the moon more decisively? To study the soil? Are there going to be people living there?

I see on the news today that president Bush has said that man will return to the moon and make a permant base there, for those that belive that there are already structures on the moon and the government knows about it, do you believe they will incorporate those structures in their designs and say they built themselfs, What do you all think

Nasa doesnt need anymore money. Hell they cant justify their gross expenditures as it is.
If Nasa wants more money for the moon then simply cancel the Flying brick Shuttle program and its over charged supports and the billions saved from cutting that albatros would easily fund the Moon and more.
No more money for Nasa IMO. Make due with the billions they allready get.
Plus isnt the Rocketry technology pretty much a proven technology that has been around for 40 + years. Also Nasa and the Usaf have up to date rocket lauch facilities allready so WTF do they need so much more invested for if most of the kinks have allready been worked out in the Apollo days.
Im very skeptical of giving more money for things that allready have been paid for.
On a positive note Im glad they are done doing the expensive orbiting shuffle and finally going for the resources available on the moon. To bad this has taken 30+ years to come to play again.
