suppose Im an alien, thats when I first took golf lessons (as a kid).

But your comment about playing a round of golf is pretty straight on - thats why I 'dropped out'...the semi pro (doesnt mean he can teach) tried to explain why to use clubs and when...but kept me in one place when I practiced. I was a kid for Gods sake, I dont want to stand in one spot listening to lectures...Im at the course, take me around the course and let me try it out. lol

I would have given Tiger a run for the money if things had been slightly different. lol

peace

Hello dAlen.

Thanks for your comments.

Yes, certainly, for some, the best way to learn is right out there on the golf course, where we all (golfers) want to be, with the help and guidance of good friends and an instructor at our side. No doubt about it. But, most of us are not that lucky, and those who are, really don't appreciate what they got anyway. How could they? Youth is wasted on the young.

Whether he is an alien or not, Tiger Woods, was a lucky boy. He certainly would not have gotten as far as he has without the help he recieved from others, so they deserve some of the credit for his success too.

Tiger Woods is not alone. He has lots of folks who love him surrounding him, as do we all.

Thanks again.

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed? I used the term "OP" as many do to indicate the original poster, the person who started the thread, and so as not to let there be any doubt of whom I was speaking. It is much like other pronouns used, except that it is person specific.

And I did tell you that I was in no way trying to trap or bait you. I was perfectly serious that black as a color for an alien would be ideal if the idea was to use some way of absorbing power.

And if you read the post, I was defending your laid back manner and approach to the concept of aliens being here on this planet. I don't think that you're a troll, in the forum sense of the word, and will try to look past this outburst, which was very uncalled for.

But you really need to do something about such pent up anger.

Hello NGC2736.

Thanks for your comment.

Oh... Sorry, I though OP was some kind of dirty word. Thanks for letting me know what it means. OP=Original Poster. Now I see.

Also, I was just kidding about the 'trap' thing. A simple test. I just wanted to see your reaction to hostility, since I was somewhat leary, though not certain. You seem to be a calm and rational person after all. Sorry for the flaming and misunderstanding. I think, I also appologized in advance in the original post as well.

Tiger Woods doesn't seem like the kind of person who would hold a grudge, what with him being a Buddhist and all. Aliens also don't hold grudges either, so far as I can tell. With them its always strictly business, or for educational purposes, nothing personal.

Anyway... staging a little 'heated' argument always adds to the sense of drama on a thread. Everyone loves to watch a 'fight', a great outburst, or meltdown, but there are no spectators here, so what's the sense, eh?

Thanks again.

Randolph_X, apology accepted.

You see, some of us humans also are laid back. But we're a mercurial lot at the best of times. That in itself could be a good enough reason for any aliens around the area to keep a low profile.

And the sideways implication in your post that even I might be an alien was very spot on. One can never tell on the web.

Well, I'll be watching where this leads.

Hello Foomzz.

Thanks for your comment.

Yes, in the early days of golf most players carried a flask of spirits for medicinal purposes, to help endure all the aches and pains a good game of golf will dish out to you. Those who discovered the game were probably 'stewed' to begin with when they first invented the game, and had a wee bit to much of the blarney, etc. They all carried sticks of all sorts (improvised WMDs) in those days as they walked on the links overlooking the seas... probably on guard, looking to pass the time, waiting, on lookout for the 'alien' invasion.

In those times the Spaniards were considered to be the 'aliens' and their armada, fleet of ships, were looked upon as UFOs, (unidentified floating objects). And one never knew what kind of 'booty' was going to wash up on the shore, so it was a somewhat profitable enterprize, etc.

They say a good walk is the best form of excersise (next to fighting or...), so wear comfortable shoes. I use waterproof FootJoys, tripple EEEE width, etc. (Oh, and it is very important to put your socks on straight, as bad socks can ruin an otherwise good round of golf.)

Well, so long for now, I have to go hit some balls.

Thanks again.

Maybe he just cheats, i think that would be a more likely scenario than him being an alien

Hello OzWeatherman.

Thanks for your comments.

Golf, like life, is not always fair. As in life, there is never a level playing field in golf. You have to play the ball as it lies. So certainly, players look for every honest advantage... but the cheater only cheats himself. The most important thing about golf is that it teaches one to have 'integrity', because all the cheating and lies are all eventually exposed under the blaring light of a noon day sun. Then it all comes down to making the shot. And its just you, the club, and the ball... and nothing else matters.

The aliens know all about that.

Thanks again.

Hi all,

What about the spanish bullfighters just saw 1 today that was scooped (read pierced)TWO times in 1 match and he did make the kill at the end.
The dude was super bloody of his own blood and the bulls blood.
I saw the whole corida and that´s superhuman no normal man would stand there with only a piece of cloth against 700 kilo of animal muscle.
Are they all aliens??hehe

It all comes down to faith and doing what your born to do!
If it ain´t your path you will be removed the good way or the bad way.
Tiger is just simply the best at what he does until another one comes and kicks him in the face like with all sports.

Nando out!

Hello PPLwakeUP.

Thanks for your comments.

In golf, its all about scoring. At the end of the day, its all in the numbers. Best score gets the trophy. That is one thing Tiger knows how to do, score.

Aliens are good at math, so they know the importance of scoring too.

On Earth, the first 'World Series of Golf' is starting this weekend, or so they say, for all those who care to hear about it. There are four tournaments involved. But, nobody is really sure about the exact details and rules of this event yet, because this is the first time in the history of golf that such an event is taking place. (And Tiger is so far ahead of everybody else, he can afford to take the upcoming weekend off???)

Who will be the one to make the $10,000,000.00 (ten million dollar) putt? Will you see it? Will it be Tiger Woods, or some alien who gets the prize?

Stay tuned.

Thanks again.

PS: I think Tiger may have twisted his ankle during his last tournament. Maybe that is the real reason why he is skipping the Barclay's Tournament. I think it was right after he chipped one in from just off of the green, and was doing one of those running fist pumps, when it looked like his foot got caught up in the long grass, and if you looked carefully you could see he was limpling after that. Why else would Tiger skip the first game of the inaugural playoffs?

Hello Stranger.

After seeing the way Tiger was limping I have concluded that he probably is not an alien. That's good enough for me. Case closed. It appears Tiger is all too human, and has human frailties like everyone else. No alien would be caught dead limping off the green like that.

Oh, I have considered that maybe it wasn't a limp. Maybe it was a strut? So, the conclusion I've arrived at is not conclusive. Maybe you'll have better luck than I've had figuring all this out. Good luck!

That's all folks!

Thanks again.

Tiger was 50 for 50 on putts from 6 feet and in at Bay Hill this weekend, I would classify that as inhuman at least. Forget that he dropped another pressure-packed putt from 25 feet (give or take) with billions of people watching to win............again.

There really is something supernatural about this guy, like he made a deal with the devil or something.

Peace
