People are using religion and emotion to become rich.
www.rickross.com...

An emotional, energetic half-hour of song praising the glory of God passes. Then Hagee tells ushers at his 5,000-seat Cornerstone Church to take their positions.

With the dozens of men bearing glinting platters in the aisles, and six cameramen capturing the moment, Hagee instructs church members to hold their money toward the heavens. The thousands repeat after him: "Give and it shall be given."

"When you give, it qualifies you to receive God's abundance," he tells his listeners. "If God gives to you before you give to him, God himself will become a liar. ... If you're not prospering, it's because you're not giving."

"If you're not prospering, it's because you're not giving," he repeats.

Exactly right dude!!How does nobody see past these crooked people?I don't trust any of them especially that Joel Osteen guy because if he really wanted to spread the word of God to the people, then why does he sell his books for 30 to 40 dollars a piece????

Wow, we have some uneducated people on these boards. If someone sells a book, that doesnt mean they aren't well intentioned.

Jesus walked the countryside being taken care of by those around him. By the generosity of others.

Joel Osteen sells books, and preaches a gospel of prosperity.

I don't understand what the problem is, it's not like he's a hypocritical moralist.
