So, maybe this change will be the comming of the ubermensch, and people will start to see things through more earth-based eyes, as opposed to the religion influenced laws and social stigmas we have today.
just a thought is all.
You're talking about a materialistic mindset. I don't think society can or should become any more materialistic than it already currently is. I really don't understand your point. We already live in a world that is grossly materialistic... I hope for a return to the spiritual.

And that is your OPINION. I can show you various ways as to how materialism has hurt the world. Can you show me how spirituality has? Leave religion out of the equation...Religion and spirituality are not the same thing, not even close really.

I don't know if it's of any relevance - but during those years I was on foot and living out of a backpack I experienced more than my share of interesting and enlightening people, places and experiences.
Now that I am back in the "real world" and surrounded by material possession outside of what I IMMEDIATELY need, I have noticed that those spiritual insights and chance meetings with persons of interest have declined - if not stopped almost altogether.

I certainly hope such a philosophical revolution never comes about. To me, it sounds like a recipe for people acting like animals.

We live in a society where if you even show the slightest inkling of being spiritual, not even religious, but spiritual, you get ostracized. They label you some sort of "wacko," for actually believing in something other than this empty space that we call matter.
"Atheists are America’s least trusted group, according to a national survey conducted by University sociology researchers.
Based on a telephone survey of more than 2,000 households and in-depth interviews with more than 140 people, researchers found that Americans rate atheists below Muslims, recent immigrants, homosexuals and other groups as “sharing their vision of American society.” Americans are also least willing to let their children marry atheists."
