Whether you wish to believe it to be government or alien in origin ... maybe even spiritual ... I had a strange thought of what may be going on.

The reason we may never get a clear picture, but a lot 'see' something strange, fast starts and stops ... silent ... etc.

Maybe it is someone/something playing with us. Think of it like this ... how many people with a pet, specifically cats ... have used a laser light to play and tease the LOVED member of the family. It isn't out of cruelty, but something fun to do that they cannot get enough of.

Now, think if something had something similar to this ... a beam/hologram. It could move silently. It could start and stop at extreme speeds. Since we don't understand it on the level of the controller ... we cannot explain it, and our imagination would tend to make it more real than it is. I remember hologram games at least 10 years ago in bowling alleys (possibly 20?).

With an advanced knowledge of light, gravity, and magnetism ... I would think that a lot of the experiences, sightings, and anomalies (crop circles) could be just be a tease to the population from either government (who rules people like parents or pet owners), aliens (a higher intelligence with far advanced technology), angels/demons (powers that exist beyond our plane of existance/understanding). So I am not limiting it to something like a laser light, but maybe something that is on a more advanced scale and manipulation of the senses.

I tried to pose this in such a way that your personal beliefs in either a) government corruption/manipulation b) alien existence c) spiritual ... should not affect the possibility of it or hinder the discussion itself ... though each or none could be used as well ... I am also not saying that I believe this is what is happening ... but, I cannot rule it out as anything you can imagine, can be.

OK so what I get from your post is that you have never seen a UFO. Right?
Well if you had or if your life's experience had ever shown you anything unexplainable your theories would be quite different than they are. I can understand your view yet it just goes to show if you have never been an experiencer you can merely speculate.

No, I actually have experienced a few sightings in my life, as well as close friends and family.

I was trying to take out the debunking of ufos that occurs quite frequently.

Some of the stuff I have seen, I could say is quite real to me ... one of my experiences actually would support a hologram projection that I witnessed with a friend. A close friend has witnessed orbs with her significant other. My mother has experienced a craft with lights.

I have witnessed things I couldn't explain ... and I have traveled a lot over the last years and enjoy looking at the stars. So I have had my share. I have not seen a being first hand, have not been abducted as I know of. I did have some odd recurring dreams after an orb experience in my youth. But that isn't really what I wished to ponder here, to me it is irrelevant.

So, yes, I believe in aliens and ufos ... I also believe in God and a Savior. I also have seen ghosts. I also think the government has technology that would be unfathomable to the average person and I know they have released documents of deceptions/covert operations.

I guess I should have stated that, but, I didn't want to bring in my personal beliefs into a theory.

I also didn't mean to imply that ALL sightings could be labeled as such, but SOME might be a bit of a joke, with (your malevolent/benevolent choice) laughing at a their game
Could some of it be something playing with us ... as to why there are so many sightings and pictures without any direct form/unclear.

I apologize for not have put it in a clear enough way and not divulging my side/experiences ... my intentions were to not make this an argument of my beliefs experiences being real or not ... or debunking needing proof of my claims, since I never really carry a camera with me, so for most people, I have no tangible evidence, except my testimony ... which oddly enough would suffice to convict someone in a court of law, but not enough to be believed by someone who wishes to not see what is inconvenient for them to accept as a possibility.

Nice, i like that you thought well out of the box there, from a speculative point of view i see what you could be getting at, i actually enjoy the idea that some other beings could be having a chuckle at our expense..

Actually I think you could be on to something with that theory. At first it seems a little silly to think crop circles, sightings, etc. could be just to get a reaction out of us but then I remembered quite a strange experience I had once in which it genuinely seemed that some unseen supernatural force with playing some kind of weird game with me for it's own amusement.

hehe, re-reading this after reading about 9-11 hologram theories ... I don't even think about that experience.

The only problem was, what I saw was completely silent, and much closer than the video of the towers shown. It was at night, clear sky, and the thing looked solid though.

I do know what I saw, but it isn't something easily explained or believed.

I am not trying to add to the hologram theory of 9-11, but, from that experience I had that night, I cannot take away from it at all ... though I was a bit more skeptical of it than I let on in my posts (I try to be open-minded).

I still find it to be completely possible that certain entities (domestic, para-terra
) ... could be toying with us using advanced technology that can manipulate light more than most find possible with current knowledge of physics and science.

I still find that light manipulation fits ufo patterns better than even magnetic or anti-gravity propulsion.

The many claims of instantaneous amazing speeds from stop, or in flight ... could easily be attained by a source of light/energy some distance away ... and any pivoting action would make the speeds quite immense, and immediate. It could also easily explain disappearing and reappearing, and the silence, lack of air disturbance ... and if it was enough energy directed in a certain direction ... it could possibly mess with electronic devices.

I know I repeated my earlier posts some, but I am tired, so please excuse it, and any incoherence. Time to get some rest

It's my first time posting, so please don't blast me...

I think you are on to something here. It's kinda funny that I happened to read this because my wife and I were talking a little bit about the whole UFO/alien thing last night and she said something that I've never seen/heard mentioned in anything related to the phenomena. She said, what if there ARE alien beings but they're not as "powerful" as people claim them to be. What if they can do some pretty cool tricks, but that's mostly all that it is... tricks. They may be using those "tricks" like a kind of psychological warfare, so we wouldn't ever think of messing with them, or going against them, etc. I didn't want to go off topic, but I think it relates. Some of those abductees have come right out and said that their "space brothers" are masters of deception/camouflage. I wonder if that is what they meant... masters of illusions.

Just my (and my wife's) 2 cents.

I like where your head is on this.

However, frolicking in the soft ,fluffy clouds of speculation will only get you so far.

Empirical data must be incorporated to fully grasp the awesomeness of the subject...

Your theory is as valid as any other. Thank you for posting this in a non-threatening, or "believe me or the earth will fall next week" manner. You seem to be an intelligent person, and I have enjoyed reading your posts on other threads. Frankly it would be nice to think that someone is laughing their collective butts off at us trying to figure the whole thing out. It's what I would do in their position..... but then I'm just as inclined to conquer a planet and rule over it as a god if I had the opportunity. Anyhow thanks for this thread, it has lightened my mood quite a bit, and when it's all said and done you may just be right.... but then who knows. Thanks again.

Thanks for the compliments

Flux, no worries, I gladly welcome you and your wife's point of view. I find it a very curious and interesting way of looking at it. In fact, it would be very wise if an alien didn't have awe-inspiring abilities to fudge them a bit. I think it would be dangerous either way. If you watch how violent we are with each other, you wouldn't want to pop in and say hello without making it look like you are 'lightyears' ahead ... but, in the same ... you wouldn't want to overestimate too much and have the 'violent' species try to test their strength against you or 'call your bluff'. Again, I welcome open discussion, especially if everyone is being friendly and open to each others ideas and thoughts.

coastlinekid, I do want to remind you, this is in skunkworks, so, frolicking in the clouds is fully justified in here
Empirical data would be nice, but, quite hard to attain, since if they are just toying with us, they are not going to show their hand. Just like with a laser and a cat, you try to keep the source from their eyes. If it is just a game, optical illusion, then, all of the video would be as it is, just some fuzzy lights in the sky, with very little identifiable form. In fact, a lot of it could be distraction from the real attraction (let your imagination loose on that one)

Osiris, it would be nice to be in on the joke
I think about how many hidden camera shows we have, and how popular they are ... it makes this even a more curious idea. The black projects having a laugh ... maybe on their plane/bus rides to and from the site ... or on the CCTV during the breaks
Maybe an alien show ... kind of like Bonzai on G4TV ... will this human be scared or curious? Place bets now!

Thank you all for having a polite conversation. It is greatly appreciated!

I have read a science fiction 'Toys' which is written by a Hong Kong writer. His supposition seems identical to yours. In his novel he imagines that we humans are bred by aliens and any phenomena we see are created and designed by them. And for the difference of intelligence and technology level,it is of course impossible that we could escape from their control.

Though it sounds ridiculous and inconvincible to part of us, nobody could affirm that it is out of the possibility.Perhaps we are kept as cats by god or aliens, and we barely perceive and communicate with them.

nanoha, great post

I agree, if there really was something of that much greater intelligence, it would have complete control of us. Well, at worst, like the Matrix. Or like the group P-rno for Pyros said in one of their songs 'we'd make great pets' ...

I would rather co-exist on mutual terms than to be a slave or a pet, but if I was none the wiser, I couldn't complain or care ... 'knowing is half the battle'

I must be tired, coming up with off the wall quotes.

I have never seen nor read the book Toys, I can only think of the Robin Williams movie ... but if I even can get around to it, I may try to find it and give it a read.

It is interesting, since, some scientists do say that our DNA appears to be messed with.

I still keep an open mind about a lot of things, including us to be the aliens. It is odd how that was said in the mainstream not too long ago and on certain programs. Almost as if testing the public. Of course, they are referencing that the material that created the 'ooze' came from comets or whatever ... I think one of them said we could be Martians from an impact that threw some rocks to Earth (which they are sure happened), that the possibility it contained microscopic organisms is there and we might have developed from that.

I won't continue, since all of that should be in a thread elsewhere anyway, especially my abstract imaginative take on a possibility.
