Oh you mean the election the Supreme Court handed to Bush? If by that you mean "winning" an election then yes it was fake and very very illegal.

Now let's not forget the Turkey. That's the important thing. Screw the election, who really cares anyway. But to fake a TURKEY on thanksgiving? He should be hung for treason! The bastard!

I think that the picture was taken, and looked good so it was printed. I dont think that they meant to imply that every soldier there was personally served a perfectly cooked turkey by the President. In journalism, you use the good shots, not the "buffet" shots. Just because the man was walking with a fake turkey, he is now lying about it...
