VIENNA, Austria - Ever whacked your thumb with a hammer, or wrenched your back after lifting a heavy box, and blamed the full moon? It's a popular notion, but there's no cosmic connection, Austrian government researchers said Tuesday.

I've never had any mishaps that I've blamed on a full moon, I had always considered them to be good luck. Does anyone have any bad luck full moon stories of their own?

I've heard people blame a full moon for wacky behavior, but never for whacking thier thumbs.

I thought this had been cleared up a long time ago.

All sorts of data have been analyzed relative to the full moon and none of it has shown any effect on human behavior.

Except one thing.

The full moon provides "almost" enough light to continue working after sunset.
Almost, meaning you may not be able to hit the nail on the head. ouch!
