science "accepts" amulets

This sounds more like the power of suggestion to me.
Just like the placebo effect where a person takes a pill
with nothing inside of it and believes it will make him
feel better.
Lo and behold it does make him feel better and proves
scientifically that an empty pill, or one that contains only
sugar and water, can actually improve one's health.

If this study on amulets proves anything it's only this.
That one's ability to believe is what determines the amulets power.
Not that a rabbit's foot or a crystal has any inherent occult power or force that can affect the physical world.

I would say this study is more in the realm of
psychology rather than science.

perhaps this can be seen as another indicator that consciousness affects reality. perhaps the faith(intent) of the believers is allowing them to manifest their desires. i believe faith alone is enough to acheive this. in fact my faith is so great, that now this is a reality that i have manifested.
