Sounds like double speak to me- heh- (1984) We were driving out to Lake Heron and stumbled upon this. Interesting. Just what are they teaching?

Probably the same thing all other public schools are teaching

USA in this case stands for Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools District

Sice the Abbreviation is USA thier mascot is the patriot

Hence USA Patriots

When I was in Jr high which was on Ft Riley Military Reservation our mascot was the Troopers as in US Calvary Troopers

They picked thier mascot based on the abbreiviation for thier school district

The difference here is this is a PUBLIC school not military

How many public schools do you suppose in the US have mascots such as Patriot Rebels Crusaders Padres or similar

Ft Riley Jr High School is not a military school it is a PUBLIC school that happens to be on a military base to serve the needs of military families.
Its called a middle school now,Its been a few years since Jr High for me.

You are making attempting to equate the name of a school district with something that isnt even remotely there. Its not a military school its a public school.If you read through the site it tells exactly you what they are teaching, and if you look at some of the pictures of students you will find that they are hardly military indoctrinated.
