Now this is just a wild theory, that's why I put it in Skunk works. I don't have any evidence for this. It's just something I came up with adding 1 and 1 up.

Okay we have had 3 threads in less than 24 hours about space related companies and things going wrong.

There are the drunken astronauts
The cut wires in a computer for the spacestation.
And last but not least the explosion at mojave airport during the testing of a rocket engine designed for spacetravel.

Now maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it's a lot of space related accidents in such a short time. Does anybody here think they are related? And if yes, what would this mean? I mean... what's the problem with people just wanting to fly around the earth for a couple of round?

To put it pretty simply I dont think they're related. But as individual cases, they raise some question marks.

The theory that space travel is being surpressed is not a new one.

Born at first from NASA's consistent, spectacular and downright stupid failings, the suspicion that either the US government or some military branch is doing its best to keep us from journeying to (or even seeing un-doctored pictures of) the space outside our world is a widely supported one in some circles.

It is usually tied to theories concerning alien life - as a cover up preventing the general population from seeing the various extra-terrestrial races that have allegedly been discovered in the last 60 years or so - and often linked to mystery surrounding the mysterious "Area 51" (now known widely as 'paradise ranch' among other psudeonyms - i think i spelt that right
)

Not being an expert on the theory, although having heard some of its more publicised arguments (such as the 'faked' moon landing of '69) i would not be prepared to comment on its veracity though.

If anyone has any evidence - feel free to let me/us/whoever cares know!

This is quite interesting and obviously without a government consent, I doubt anyone would be allowed to leave the atmosphere ( if even fly a regular plane ) without the threat of being shot down. I'm sure if someone had the technological stroke, to create a space travel vehicle lets say in their garage... I'm sure the government vultures would swoop down upon you with a vengence never imagined.

i thought of the idea of being kept out of space for a specific reason a while back but just didn't think anymore of it untill recently,it just seems that any new venture or talk of space technology being used something goes wrong or it gets delayed.
Alot of people sense something big is going down sometime in the near future but not sure what,maybe this is conected

pretty interesting, kinda makes me wonder more about whats going and even the whole garry mckinnon thing. i lived in florida for 4 years in brevard co. i was right across the indian river from the space center and although it was always cool as hell to watch night time shuttle launches but also, there was always unannounced rocket launches which would be on the news later on saying it was a classified military payload. i used to wonder about those alot lol.

Maybe its the aliens sabotaging our travels to outer space.

I've also heard "they" do not want us going to the moon.
